Run over 1,200 metres at The Valley* each Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival, the Don Casboult Classic was formerly known as the Typhoon Tracy Stakes up until it was renamed in 2024.
*In 2026 the event ran at Caulfield with Moonee Valley closed for redevelopment.
The race is a Group 3 sprint race for three-year-old fillies and currently runs on William Reid Stakes Day in late March.
The set weights plus penalties event previously served as a lead-up to many upcoming Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival features including the Group 2 Kewney Stakes.
