A capacity 2021 Caulfield Cup final field has been confirmed with the hot Peter Moody-trained favourite Incentivise to carry the equal 55.5kg top weight with the autumn’s Australian Cup champ Homesman.
The Herbert Power Stakes winner Delphi also represents Anthony & Sam Freedman, while the Edward Cummings-trained mare Duais secured an eleventh hour bid via a win in Wednesday’s Group 3 Coongy Cup.
The 2021 Caulfield Cup Barrier Draw saw the two favourites in betting – Incentivise and Delphi – draw the two outside barriers.
Gate 8 produced last year’s Caulfield Cup winner Verry Elleegant and was drawn by the Danny O’Brien-trained Turnbull Stakes runner-up Young Werther with last year’s third placegetter The Chosen One in gate 9.
