Previously known as the Doomben Roses up until 2009, The Roses is a Group 2 race for three-year-old fillies held as part of the Brisbane Winter Racing Carnival in either late May or early June. The race is currently worth $300,000 with prize money increased ahead of the 2023 edition.
The Roses is run over 2000m and is a key lead-up to the Group 1 Queensland Oaks with the double last completed by Scarlett Lady (2011) and Youngstar (2018). The Doomben Roses is traditionally run and won at Doomben Racecourse as part of Doomben Cup Day.
