The Group 1 Rosehill Guineas is a 2000m event contested at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse by a top field of three-year-old staying types each Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
Contested at set weights and offering $750,000 in prize money, the event has been run and won since 1910 and is now a key support act on the hugely popular Golden Slipper Stakes Race Day in March.
The Group 1 Randwick Guineas (1600m) is the key lead-up into this event and the last horse to do the double was The Autumn Sun (2019).
In 2022 the Randwick Guineas quinella of Converge and Anamoe ran top two again in the Rosehill Guineas results but in reverse order with Anamoe a dominant seven length champion.
The following year the Chris Waller-trained Lindermann (2023) also ran second in the Randwick Guineas before his Rosehill Guineas success.
Anamoe would return in the spring of 2022 to win five Group 1 races on the trot including the $5 million Ladbrokes Cox Plate.
The 2024 Rosehill Guineas winner Riff Rocket handed trainer Chris Waller with back-to-back wins when posting a second Group 1 victory after his Victoria Derby success the spring prior.
The Rosehill Guineas winner is also exempt from ballot for the Group 1 Australian Derby (2400m) at Randwick in April with Riff Rocket (2024) the last to do the Rosehill Guineas – ATC Derby double.
The 2025 Rosehill Guineas turned out to be a serious form race, producing that year’s ATC Derby winner — with runner‑up Aeliana coming out next start and smashing the boys by five lengths in the 2400m Group 1.
Waller would win the 2026 Rosehill Guineas with that year’s Randwick Guineas runner-up Autumn Boy.

The meeting’s feature race is the Group 1 $5 million Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m) – the richest race in the world for two-year-olds. The other key support acts on the card include the:
