Run over 1,400 metres in late February at Caulfield Racecourse, the Mannerism Stakes is a Group 3 race held during the popular Melbourne Autumn Racing Carnival. 

Open only to mares aged four-years-old and over and contested at set weights plus penalties, the event offers $200,000 in prize money. 

Taking place on Blue Diamond Stakes Day, the Mannerism Stakes runs alongside events including the Futurity Stakes and Oakleigh Plate and has been won by many nice types including recent dual champion Silent Sedition (2017, 2018). 

Sydney’s Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) is a popular next-up autumn option for mares out of the Mannerism, and the double was last completed by the Chris Waller-trained Espiona in 2023.

The 2026 Mannerism Stakes takes place at Caulfield Racecourse on Saturday, February 21, 2026, as part of the 2026 Blue Diamond Stakes Day program. A host of Group status races run at the meeting including a trio of Group 1 events the action headlined by the:
