Held in mid-September each Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival, the Bobbie Lewis Quality has held Group 2 status since 2015, now offers $300,000 and serves as a nice lead-up to the Group 1 spring sprint races including the Group 1 VRC Sprint Classic (1200m) over the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
In 2022 the mare Roch ‘N’ Horse improved on her second in the Bobbie Lewis Quality to continue on and win the VRC Sprint Classic, run that year as the Champions Sprint, while the Bobbie Lewis winner Baller ran third in the Group 1.
