Kick off your Wednesday punting with our Coffs Harbour best bets, highlighting the key runners ready to make an impact.

Race 1 – CRJC AGM 25 NOVEMBER CLASS 1 & MAIDEN PLATE (2000 METRES)
No. 5 Zweigelt

ZWEIGELT (5) looks well placed given he’s lightly raced and has more upside than his rivals.

The Matt Dunn-trained gelding was last seen charging to the line over 2120m at Lismore to finish a half-length second.

He’d been racing in good form prior to that, winning at Eagle Farm over a mile just three starts ago.

The outside barrier isn’t ideal, but it’s a small field and he has the speed to work across and find a forward position.

At the latest run 2nd in a small field in a Cl1-Sw at Lismore on October 18 over 2120m, slow going 0.5 len behind Bills Angel with 59kg at $2.80. The race before that 7th of 10 in a Bm60 at Gold Coast on October 3 over 1800m, 3 len behind All About Artie with 61kg at $6.50. Well placed. Very fit and shapes as one of the key chances.

Race 4 – REMEMBERING GAE PALMER MAIDEN HCP (1000 METRES)
No. 5 Sideact

SIDEACT (5) returns to the races for just the second time after an excellent debut performance in June.

The Robert Agnew-trained gelding let down nicely over 1000m on a heavy Taree deck to finish 1.05 lengths second with third just over three lengths away.

He was sent for a spell after that run and starts his campaign here following a soft trial.

He’s drawn to get a sweet run.

Resuming after a break; only one run when 2nd of 7 in a Mdn at Taree on June 30 over 1000m, on heavy track; 1.1 len behind Leuca carrying 54.5kg at $9. Capable of another big run.

Race 5 – JACARANDA CROWN – F&M BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1600 METRES)
No. 2 Latin Lights

LATIN LIGHTS (2) raced well last start over 1536m at Lismore when finding the line well to finish 2.27 lengths second.

The Matt Dunn-trained mare will enjoy the rise to a mile given she broke her maiden three starts ago over 1700m as a $1.22 favourite.

She has the speed to make use of the inside barrier and I expect her to be hard to beat.

Form hard to fault. At the latest run made some head-way from midfield; 2nd of 7 in a Ctry Cl1 at Lismore on October 18 over 1536m, slow going 2.25 len behind Sunset Trail with 56.5kg at $3.40. The start before that tracked the speed and boxed on steadily 4th of 11 in a Ctry Bm58 at Ballina on October 4 over 1590m, 1.5 len behind Cosmic Coco carrying 58kg at $2.70. Rarely far away of late and looks a sound each-way hope.

Race 6 – CRJC LIFE MEMBERS SUPER MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)
No. 2 No No No No No

NO NO NO NO NO NO (2) placed in two of his three races in Victoria prior to joining the Matt Dunn stable.

The son of Yes Yes Yes had his first start recently for the Murwillumbah conditioner when resuming over 1000m at Eagle Farm where he was a well beaten third behind the flying Dragon Link, but he did race wide.

He’ll strip fitter second-up and will find this a touch easier.

The rise in distance suits.
