Friday night racing is here, and our Neds Cranbourne Best Bets are ready to point you in the right direction as we look to kick off the weekend with a few winners.
VALAROSO (4) made an excellent return at Caulfield Heath, finishing second over 1100m and beaten by a neck.
The Cindy Alderson-trained gelding looked very good fresh, with race fitness appearing to cost him victory late.
He should strip fitter second-up after that strong effort.
Despite the wide draw, he has enough speed to cross and find a prominent position.

| Third race start. First start 5th of 12 in a The Showdown at Caulfield on March 14 over 1200m, 7 len behind Big Wigs with 58kg at $26. PARCAE (8) made a winning debut over 1000m at Mornington, leading throughout to score by 2.5 lengths.
The Anthony & Sam Freedman-trained filly had shown promise in jump-outs on with three consecutive wins before making her first race start.
She stays at 1000m and should be suited by the trip again.
From barrier 2, she can use her early speed to find a forward position, probably leads, and looks capable of building on that debut win.

| Claiming her maiden victory on debut; favourite; won by 2.5 len in a Mdn-Sw at Mornington on September 17 over 1000m defeating Armorware with 55kg at $1.45. Likely to be popular with punters and looks very tough to beat again. | |||
KILLENAULE (8) has placed in all four starts this preparation and looks ready to break through.
He was posted deep throughout at Caulfield Heath last start but kept fighting to finish second over 1800m.
The Ciaron Maher-trained gelding steps up to 2000m, which should suit, and maps to enjoy an economical run.
After a string of consistent performances, he gets his chance to win.

| Recent form sound. Last start 2nd of 9 in a Bm66 at Caulfield Heath on September 16 over 1800m, 1.3 len behind Best Time with 56.5kg at $1.85. The run before that 2nd of 13 in a Bm66 at Sandown-Hillside on September 2 over 1800m, on a slow track; 0.8 len behind Emperor Tzu with 58kg at $6.50. Tough effort latest and gets golden switch to atone. | |||
CASHOUT (5) has improved sharply since being gelded, winning first-up at Pakenham Synthetic over 1400m by 2.25 lengths.
The Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr-trained gelding ran another top race at Sandown Hillside last start, finishing second over 1500m in stronger company.
He should appreciate the drop in class and will strip fitter third-up.
There’s a slight query about a wet track, but if he handles it then he looks well placed to feature.
