Run To The Rose 2026 Betting Tips, Predictions & Favourites

We have Run To The Rose tips and predictions for the Group 2 1200m 3YO feature at Rosehill on Saturday.

Run To The Rose odds have many Chris Waller-trained runners in the market, and he could have a stranglehold on the race.

Best Bet
#11 Central Europe

There is a lot of market confidence with CENTRAL EUROPE (2), and he’s a runner who keeps hitting the line strongly but keeps finding one or two better.

We’re hoping that he doesn’t find one better on Saturday, and the $5.50 odds are being included in our Run To The Rose tips. He’s paying a good price to notch his first win after three placings, and everything points towards a good run.

He’ll get a nice drag behind the speed from barrier 2, and Zac Lloyd has made a good start to the season. We often see well-regarded 3YOs win their first race at Group 2 level, and Central Europe could be the next.

He will win a big race soon, and he’s a top chance this Saturday at Rosehill.

#12 Under Focus

UNDER FOCUS (5) has not been looked past in betting markets, which is a good sign.

He didn’t have much go his way in The Rosebud when finishing sixth, and it could pay to look past that run. He showed much better form last season as a 2YO, and the betting moves are the most telling in this race.

After opening at $11, he quickly firmed to $6. That’s a big move in a 3YO race with plenty of quality types in action, so it could have been stable money from Kris Lees. They like to target their runners, so that’s a good sign.

He will need to be good to beat this field, but he’s being included in our Run To he Rose predictions based on the betting move.

Rosehill R8 – Yulong Run To The Rose (G2)
Open Race time:
12. Under Focus (5)
J: Dylan Gibbons 55kg
213×6T: Kris Lees
Second run back. First-up after four months 6th of 13 in a LR The Rosebud at this track on August 15 over 1100m, slow going 3 len behind Chilly Girl carrying 57kg at $9. Previously second-up won by 1.5 len in a 2yo C&G Osc at Randwick Kensington on March 25 over 1100m in soft going defeating Drumfire with 57.5kg at $4.40. Gets a better set up for this and worth thought.

#9 Cormier

Punters shouldn’t forget about CORMIER (6), who has a win and two placings, with his most recent placing coming behind Tron Bolt over 1600m in the J.J. Atkins.

Dropping back to 1200m shouldn’t worry him as he’s a pacy type, and barrier 6 should see him land behind the speed before peeling out around the home turn. That’s an ideal set-up in what should be a quick race.

We liked his strength during his first preparation. He’s a physical thoroughbred, and that could be enough to win this race against horses who have only just turned three.

Punters get value odds with our Run To The Rose SRM, which includes our three selected runners.

  • Top 2 – No. 11 Central Europe
  • Top 4 – No. 12 Under Focus
  • Top 5 – No. 9 Cormier

We have Central Europe Top 2, Under Focus Top 4, and Cormier Top 5, which pays $15 for our three-runner SRM.

It should be a battle between the favourites, and we have Central Europe and Under Focus running in the first two and four respectively. Cormier is a good Top 5 hope to boost SRM payouts.
