The Knicks have done the hard bit. They’ve pinched the first two games, survived a proper scare in Game 2, and now head back to Madison Square Garden with a 2-0 lead and the chance to put San Antonio in a very ugly hole.
Game 2 was a one-point scrap, with Karl-Anthony Towns leading New York with 21, while Victor Wembanyama did his usual alien nonsense with 29 for the Spurs. The concern for San Antonio is they got a big Wemby game, kept it tight, and still couldn’t get it done.
New York are absolutely rolling, 13 straight wins, 30-10 at home, and holding teams to just 100.5 points per game across their last 10. That’s not a hot streak anymore, that’s a team with its foot on the throat.
The Spurs are no mugs on the road, but their form has been patchy, and walking into MSG down 0-2 is not exactly a relaxing Monday night.
At -2.5, this line feels short enough to back the home side. Brunson controls the tempo, KAT gives them scoring punch, and the Knicks’ defence has been the difference all series.
