Diamil holds the Summer Cup race record winning in 2022 over 2000m in a time of 2 minutes 00.76 seconds.
The 2023 Summer Cup winner was the John O’Shea-trained Contributer six-year-old Lion’s Roar ($2.80F) who saluted for the punters when holding on in a tight finish to post his first victory since the 2021 Randwick Guineas.
The 2024 Summer Cup winner was the Kris Lees-trained Tavi Time ($4.80) who narrowly denied Osipenko on the line in a photo-thriller with Jay Ford in the saddle.
The 2025 Summer Cup winner is TBC and will be known when the Boxing Day race runs in Sydney at Royal Randwick on Friday December 26.
