Which Filly Will Win the VRC Oaks in 2026?

The best way to pick which filly will win the VRC Oaks in 2026 is to take into account their lead-up spring racing form, assess the barriers, consider their recent performances in traditional spring lead-up races and any past history at the famous Flemington track.

Additional factors to consider when picking the VRC Oaks winner include:

  • Favourite Factor: The past four VRC Oaks betting favourites have won with Willowy (2021), She’s Extreme (2022), Zardozi (2023), and Treasurethe Moment (2024).
  • Wakeful Lead-Up: The Group 2 Wakeful Stakes held on Derby Day is the key VRC Oaks lead-up event, while earlier fillies may contest the Group 2 Moonee Valley Fillies Classic (1600m) on Cox Plate Day. Treasurethe Moment (2024) was the last filly to complete the Wakeful Stakes – VRC Oaks double.
