An enigmatic sprinter who punters are being asked to take on trust. At his best, he has the ability to blow this field away down the Caulfield straight, but predicting when he’ll produce that effort is the challenge. He can’t be ignored at the odds.

The current favourite after finishing fourth last time out behind Autumn Glow and Sheza Alibi. That looks like the strongest form line heading into this race, and she should enjoy a soft run from the inside barrier. The one to beat, although this is a tricky field to navigate.

This is the time of year when Warnie tends to produce his best form, and he showed plenty of it last start. It wasn’t at Group 1 level, but he has form around some of Australia’s best horses and looks capable of running a cheeky race.

He generally races at appealing odds and rarely seems to put in a poor performance. He’ll get his chance to shine at some stage this season, but we’re not convinced this Saturday is his day.

Fresh up and facing a tough assignment without a recent run under his belt. It’s not an easy race to target first-up, and the odds appear to reflect his chances.

Certainly not the worst runner in this field, and he’s going around at an appealing price. He had little luck last start, but this race was always the target. At $23, he’s a runner worth considering in our Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes 2026 form guide.

Barrier 15 makes his task significantly tougher in a race of this nature. We’re also not convinced he has proven himself at Group 1 level, so the current odds appear to reflect his chances.

She’s been enjoying a very long preparation, which could eventually start to take its toll. However, she continues to race well and can’t be completely discounted.
