Race 3 – BISHOP COLLINS AUDIT 3YO MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)
No. 3 I’m Ya Huckleberry

I’M YA HUCKLEBERRY (3) resumes here after a narrow second on debut in the Group 3 Arrowfield Breeders’ Plate at Randwick over 1000m.

The Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott-trained colt chased home the winner in a $250Kevent, giving a strong account of himself against quality opposition.

He now drops massively in class and has looked superb in two trials leading into this return.
He has the speed to negate the wide barrier and should be ready to fire fresh.

Race 4 – FIVE STAR DAY SPA 3YO MAIDEN PLATE (1200 METRES)
No. 5 The Thorncaster

THE THORNCASTER (5) resumes after a 16-week spell and has trialled well, winning his most recent hit-out at Warwick Farm.

The Ciaron Maher-trained rig was narrowly beaten at Eagle Farm last preparation and showed enough ability to suggest he can measure up here.

He now drops to non-metro grade and should take improvement from his latest trial.

With Zac Lloyd taking the ride, he looks capable of making an impact fresh.

The Annabel & Rob Archibald-trained gelding resumed at Wyong and led throughout to break his maiden by 2.72 lengths.

No. 3 Don’s Party

The Paul & Martha Cave-trained gelding has returned in excellent form and showed plenty of strength late in that latest effort.

He now steps up to the mile, which should suit given the way he finished off his recent races.

With soft-ground form and race fitness on his side, he can be competitive again.
