Race 1 – The Bottle O Swan Hill Maiden Plate (975 METRES)
No. 4 Tatakai Uta

TATAKAI UTA (4) was green on debut at Donald when second beaten 3.5 lengths before being sent for a spell.

He returned at Bendigo and improved when second beaten 2.25 lengths over 1100m, closing off well from back in the field.

Since then, he impressed in a jump out win where he stormed home under a hold, which should have brought him on nicely.

The Mitchell Freedman-trained gelding draws ideally in barrier 1 and can be finishing off best late.

Race 5 – Pooles Accountants BM70 Handicap (975 METRES)
No. 5 Per Sempre

PER SEMPRE (5) was good at Sandown Hillside last start when third beaten just under a length over 1000m after being held up at a key stage.

Prior to that, she finished sixth at Caulfield beaten 6.25 lengths in a stronger race, and first-up she was good when second beaten half a length at Caulfield Heath.

The Charles Cassar-trained mare has been competing well in town and will appreciate the drop in class.

With that form and a more suitable setup, she looks well placed.

Race 7 – Jarrod Arentz Electrical & Solar Solutions BM66 Handicap (1300 METRES)
No. 11 Join The Que

JOIN THE QUE (11) was excellent at Bendigo last start when second beaten a length over 1300m behind Clevor Trever, who has since won in town to frank the form, and will have taken improvement off that run given the five weeks between runs.

Prior to that, he was dominant at Stawell when winning by 7.5 lengths, putting the race away with ease.

The Team Hayes-trained gelding is in great order this preparation and looks to have taken the right progression through his runs.

With a genuine tempo likely, he can be finishing over the top again.

Before that raced right near the speed and boxed on; won by 7 len at Stawell Mdn-Sw April 5 over 1300m defeating Nightynight carrying 59.5kg at $1.35. Race 8 – Swan Hill Cup (1600 METRES)
No. 4 Electric Impulse

ELECTRIC IMPULSE (4) was very good first-up at Sandown Hillside when fourth beaten 3.25 lengths over 1400m, working home strongly after settling back.

He has a strong record over this distance with three wins from five starts, including a win at Pakenham just two starts ago and a placing at Group 3 level.

The Henry Dwyer-trained gelding has an excellent second-up record and will strip fitter for that return.

With that profile, the inside barrier and natural improvement, he looks well placed to run a big race in the Swan Hill Cup.
