We’ve made it to Game 1 of the 2026 NBA Finals!
The New York Knicks reach the Finals for the first time since 1999, a series they lost to none other than the Spurs!
Meanwhile, San Antonio are the 2nd youngest team to reach the Finals in NBA history, with an average age of 25.06, just edged out by the 1976-77 Trail Blazers (25.03).
The Knicks fast tracked their way to the Finals, winning their last 11 playoffs games, sweeping both Philly and the Cavs in their last two series.
Alternatively, the Spurs have played in two physical series against the T-Wolves (6 Games) and the reigning champions OKC (7 Games).
San Antonio have been hardened by their grueling road to the finals, and can only be buoyed by their performance against the reigning champs.
Game 1 will set the tone for this series, and I am expecting it to be more physically intense than anything the Knicks have experienced on the Eastern side of the bracket.
Give me the Spurs to cover as home favourites, combined with the Unders to Salute.
