It’s an all Victorian affair which should see AAMI Park full as a goog for the final game of the 2024/25 A-League season.
I think Melbourne is going to beat Melbourne
Enough mucking around, here is my preview for the 2024/25 A-League Grand Final.
Going to start my spiel by reminding you that the head to head markets are only for regulation time. Don’t be that guy that guy that backs City to win and gets confused when the draw pays out.
City will “host” the Vics at AAMI Park on Saturday night and we are in for an absolute treat.
City waltzed through the semis after going 3-0 in the first leg against United, they were able to put their feet up in the second leg and should be poised for a big game here.
Meanwhile the Victory had to do it the hard way, winning 2-0 in the second leg and stealing the aggregate score away from Auckland ruining their fairytale campaign.
This will be a proper arm wrestle, the rivalry is very real and the Melbourne Derby is always one I have marked in my calendar every season.
These sides met three times this year and we were treated to a Victory win and two draws.
In that head to head market I mentioned at the top I believe we will see a draw after 90 minutes and I lean towards that market at $3.50 but a wise man once told me that if you sit on the fence, you’ll get splinters in your bum.
We have a market specifically for the Grand Final called “To Lift The Trophy” and for me that is City at $1.70.
