2022 NFL Week 12 Tips & Preview

2022 NFL Week 12 Tips & Preview

What are you thankful for? I am thankful for some blockbuster Thanksgiving matchups in the NFL this week!

Set your alarms, we have three Friday games this week, the first one being at 3:30am (QLD Time) where the Detroit Lions will look to make it two upsets in a row in a game against the Bills where anything could happen.

Following that game we have two NFC East juggernauts slugging it out. The NY Giants take on The Cowboys in a game that could decide which team OBJ signs with.

To wrap it all up we have the Vikings taking on the Patriots!

There’s a lot to love this week in the NFL and I’ve got your back as always for tips!

Here is my preview for Week 12 of the NFL.

There’s plenty of action each week on the Neds NFL Punting Podcast too, check that out below!

Detroit Lions v Buffalo Bills
Tip: Bills -9.5 @ $1.90

Set your alarms punters, this game starts early on Friday.

We are lucky enough to get three games of NFL for Thanksgiving this week starting with the Lions taking on the Bills.

The Bills have hit a bit of a mid season slump but that does not mean I’m fading them at all in this matchup.

Even though the Lions did beat the Giants last week, Buffalo should be too good for them here.

Anytime TD Tip: Stefon Diggs

Dallas Cowboys v New York Giants
Tip: Dallas 1-13 @ $2.35

Huge NFC East clash gets underway at about 7:30AM our time.

The Cowboys have been unstoppable at home against NFC Rivals, don’t believe me? They are 13/14 against NFC East teams at home since 2017.

That’s when you go “What a stat Liam!” and I say “No dramas mate”

I’m keen to see how the Giants play this one, obviously they’ve been strong all year but have already lost to the Cowboys once this season and might’ve been found out last week by the Lions.

The Cowboys are a top 3 team in the NFC in my opinion and I’m backing them to win a close one here.

Anytime TD Tip: Tony Pollard

Minnesota Vikings v New England Patriots
Tip: Vikings -2.5 @ $1.90

The Vikings SUCKED last week against the Cowboys.

It was a huge loss for them and this game is the one I’m most looking forward to this Friday.

The Patriots are definitely not scrubs this year especially on defence so I’m really interested to see how this one plays out.

If the Vikings are to get back to their winning ways, they need to get the ball to their best player which is my boy Justin Jefferson, if they do that, they’ll cover easily.

Anytime TD Tip: JJettas (Justin Jefferson for those not on nickname basis with him like I am)

Washington Commanders v Atlanta Falcons
Tip: Commanders 1-13 @ $2.45

Geez, rough game this one.

The Commanders and Falcons are 6-5 &  5-6 respectively this season and will go at it early Monday morning.

If you find yourself up at that time, there’s probably some decent World Cup games on or a different NFL Game.

You don’t need to watch this one. I think the Commanders will just edge out The Falcons, the injury to Kyle Pitts will hurt the Falcons more than they realise.

Anytime TD Tip: Brian Robinson

New York Jets v Chicago Bears
Tip: Bears +6 @ $1.98

This game will be fascinatnig but for all the wrong reasons.

Zach Wilson has officially been benched for Mike White can he lead the Jets to victory? They have good players in all positions but QB.

The Bears have hit a nice vein of form but the injury to Justin Fields’ shoulders is something worth monitoring.

I think the Jets have one of the best defences in the league but I think that their offense will be quite clunky this week with a new QB. Better? Yes but still clunky.

The Bears +6 is too good not to take on.

Anytime TD Tip: David Montgomery

Baltimore Ravens v Carolina Panthers
Tip: Ravens 14+ @ $1.90

Yes the Panthers won last week but it was a TNF snoozer and they weren’t playing the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have the easiest run home to the playoffs in the league and are probably going to win the AFC North comfortably just like they’re going to win this one comfortably.

The line is 13 points so I’m taking Ravens 14+ for an extra 10c value!

Anytime TD Tip: Isaiah Likely

Tennessee Titans v Cincinnati Bengals
Tip: Bengals 1-13 @ $2.50

One of the most exciting games of the early timeslot.

Joe Burrow continues to prove how lit he truly is and there is an outside chance he gets his #1 WR Ja’Marr Chase back this week (but I doubt it).

The Titans have a cheatcode at Running Back that goes by the name of Derrick Henry who is impossible to stop.

This game could be a shoot out and I’m vibing a proper Treylon Burks breakout this week, he had 100 yards last week but I’m liking 100yds and a TD in this one.

I think the Bengals will sneak home however.

Anytime TD Tip: Treylon Burks

Jacksonville Jaguars v Baltimore Ravens
Tip: Ravens -4 @ $1.90

Both fresh off a bye week these two sides will be ready to rock and roll in Week 12.

Jacksonville haven’t quite lived up to the hype that I put on them this season, I thought TLaw would take a bigger step forward so far this season which he hasn’t quite done yet.

The Ravens defence will be a struggle for him this week, Baltimore also have the easiest run home to the playoffs and I don’t think they will lose another game.

Ravens to cover.

Anytime TD Tip: Lamar Jackson

Miami Dolphins v Houston Texans
Tip: Dolphins -13.5 @$1.90

Big Blowout Alert in this one.

The Texans are miserable and the Dolphins are very good (hot take I know).

Last week the Commanders completley shutdown Texans RB Dameon Pierce and the offense had no idea what to do.

There is a huge chance that happens again here, Tua and the Dolphins should be far too good in this one.

The line is 13.5 Points which I think the Dolphins will get out to early.

Anytime TD Tip: Mike Gesicki

Cleveland Browns v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tip: Buccaneers -3.5 @ $1.90

The Buccs look like a very refreshed football team.

They’re 5-5 & lead the NFC South and I truly believe they are about to go on a big run after last weeks bye.

It all starts here against the Browns who have been quite mediocre this season.

I’m expecting to see a lot from Buccs RB Rachaad White, they’ve had a week off to draw up some plays for him and I’m expecting at least 20 touches for him in this one.

Tampa -3.5 looks enticing, I think they will cover that comfortably.

Anytime TD Tip: Rachaad White

Carolina Panthers v Denver Broncos
Tip: Panthers H2H @ $2.05

Not wasting my time here. Tossing a coin…. and its…. Tails.

Panthers H2H

Anytime TD Tip: D’Onta Foreman

Arizona Cardinals v Los Angeles Chargers
Tip: Chargers -3 @ $1.90

The Chargers played really well last week against the Chiefs but ended up losing. To be expected though, the Chiefs are quite good (another red hot take)

The Cardinals haven’t quite lived up to expectations this year but it is looking more and more likely that Kyler Murray should be back after tweaking his hamstring (Bit suspicious he’s been out since Warzone 2 dropped…)

This game should be quite close if Kyler plays, I’m going to take the Chargers to cover however, Keenan Allen was so good for them last week and I expect LA to lean on him once again.

Anytime TD Tip: Keenan Allen

Seattle Seahawks v Las Vegas Raiders
Tip: Seahawks -3.5 @ $1.90

The Seahawks are coming off a bye week and the Raiders are coming off a win (yes you heard that correctly)

I think this one should be fairly straightforward, I’m not reading into the Raiders overtime win against the Broncos too much.

The Seahawks are a far better side and should torch them here.

Seahawks to cover.

Anytime TD Tip: Ken Walker

Kansas City Chiefs v Los Angeles Rams
Tip: Chiefs 14+ @ $1.64

This one isn’t shaping up to be an even contest.

The line is a huge 15.5 poins, the Chiefs are $1.09 and the Rams are miserable.

That’s fine though I reckon, they went all in last year to win a Super Bowl and it paid off.

The Chiefs are now favourites to win the Super Bowl and will probably wipe the floor with last years winner.

Anytime TD Tip: Kelce to score 2

San Francisco 49ers v New Orleans Saints
Tip: San Francisco 49ers 14+

The 49ers are red hot right now and are making a case for Top 3 teams in the NFC in my opinion.

Their dismantling of the Cardinals on MNF made for a good watch and I get the feeling it could happen again in this one.

The Saints are a mess and nothing about them at the moment sparks joy for me, which is a shame because I used to enjoy watching the Saints a lot.

Big win for the 49ers here.

Anytime TD Tip: George Kittle

Philadelphia Eagles v Green Bay Packers
Tip: Packers +6.5 @ $1.90

I thought the Packers played well in their loss last week.

The Eagles left it quite late to get things done against the Colts too, which leads me to believe this game might be closer than the bookies have it.

Christian Watson has caught 5 touchdowns with his last 6 catches, what a freak! Is he going to do that against the Eagles secondary?

It’s hard to say but I’m willing to take the Packers on in this matchup.

Packers to cover.

Anytime TD Tip: Let’s do it! Christian Watson

Indianapolis Colts v Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers H2H @ $2.15

Colts were a huge chance against the Eagles last week but lost in the dying moments.

They come into this one favourites but I liked what I saw from the Steelers last week, well at least for the first few quarters.

The Pickett/Pickens connection is really starting to flourish and while Saturday’s Colts look refreshed I think that the Steelers could “Steel” a win here (They might take the previews off me after that pun).

I think a play on the underdog here might be the way to go.

Anytime TD Tip: George Pickens
