Eagle Farm betting tips are on the table this Saturday, with nine races to work through.
The track conditions look fair, with the surface rated a Soft 5 and fine weather forecast. The rail moves out 3m, which should give punters a solid setup to assess.
Still, Eagle Farm can make horses work. Runners may struggle if they cover ground or settle too far back.
That puts extra focus on the speed map and early positioning. Our race analysis looks at the key runners, main winning chances and best betting opportunities.

THINK LIKE PADDY (9) appeals third-up after two strong closing efforts to begin the preparation.
The Matt Dunn-trained gelding found the line well over this course and distance last start, finishing third, beaten 1.57 lengths. He went across the line with Diamond Show, who came out and won on Wednesday.
Two starts back, he drew the outside over 1400m at Grafton, settled a long last and stormed home to finish second, beaten 1.78 lengths.
The wide draw is the query, but Jimmy Orman goes on for his first ride back since returning from Hong Kong and replaces the 3kg apprentice.

| Form hard to fault. Most recently raced on speed throughout when 3rd of 9 at this track Cl3-Sw on July 25 over 1805m, on a slow track; 1.5 len behind Hovland with 55.5kg at $16. Before that made significant ground from the rear of the field 2nd of 12 at Grafton Cl3 on July 12 over 1410m, 1.75 len behind Prestige Gundy with 61kg at $7.50. TRAPALANDA (3) ventures north looking for his first win in over a year, but he looks close after a strong effort to finish third, beaten 1.12 lengths, over 1800m at Randwick.
He had no luck two starts ago when held up behind a wall of horses at Canterbury, and his first-up effort was strong when running on to finish a close second over a mile at Warwick Farm.
While he rises from 1800m to 2400m, he is fourth-up and did win over this distance when seven weeks between runs early in his career.
The Annabel & Rob Archibald-trained gelding maps to get an economical run for Jace McMurray, who claims 1.5kg.

THE FIXER (2) has the fresh record and closing speed to be dangerous in this 1000m contest.
The Jack Bruce-trained gelding has won three of five first-up runs, which is a strong platform for his return.
He was last seen on Sunshine Coast Cup Day, where he clocked the quickest final sectionals from last to finish second, beaten 2.15 lengths, over this distance.
He has had one trial against Open Class horses leading into this, and there looks to be enough speed engaged to suit. From the good draw, Emily Lang can settle just behind them and produce him late.

| Back from a long spell. Finished off last preparation 3rd of 10 at Sunshine Coast Bm78 on January 24 over 1000m, 2.25 len behind Power Of The Brave with 59kg at $20. Won previous preparation first up ran on from midfield and won by a nose at Gold Coast Cl4 July 5 2025 over 1000m in soft going defeating Hidden Melody with 59.5kg at $3.80. Finished fourth in a Doomben trial over 840m on July 28. Will improve on whatever he does in this. | |||
BOONIE BOOM (4) brings speed, upside and an 8kg weight swing against Star Of Jamaica.
The Tony Gollan-trained filly was sharp on debut over this course and distance, crossing from the outside barrier to lead before kicking clear late to win by 1.06 lengths, with 2.66 lengths back to third.
That form has already stood up, with the third and sixth-placed horses both winning two Wednesdays ago.
Star Of Jamaica has obvious class, but Boonie Boom should be able to roll forward and make full use of the weight advantage for Ben Thompson.

MANPOWER (10) maps to roll forward from the inside draw and make these chase.
The Adam Campton-trained gelding comes to town off a last-start win at Grafton, where he led throughout over 1000m.
He has been back to the trials since and looked sharp, easily accounting for his rivals under his own steam.
His only previous Eagle Farm run was better than it may look on paper. He suffered from heat stress but still finished third, beaten 1.85 lengths.
Jimmy Orman takes the ride, and from the inside barrier, he should give this a real sight.

IRAMA (12) gets a suitable race shape after resuming with a strong win at Toowoomba.
The Nick Keal-trained gelding returned over 1200m and let down strongly with 60kg to win by 1.8 lengths.
He should take natural improvement from that run, and the rise to 1400m looks suitable. He showed that last preparation when going within a head of winning over a similar trip at Doomben.
There does not look to be a great deal of speed in this race, so Jake Bayliss should be able to settle him in a forward position and make full use of the map.

JUST FLYING (4) gets the drop in class after closing off well at Doomben last start.
The Rob Heathcote-trained gelding was strong through the line when finishing third, beaten just under a length, over this distance.
The seven-day turnaround should not be a concern. The last time he raced a week later, he finished a close second over 1820m at Eagle Farm.
He carries just 1kg more after Bella Youngberry’s 3kg claim, and from the good draw, he should get every chance to be in the finish.

The Rob Heathcote-trained gelding has won three of four first-up runs. His only fresh defeat came last preparation when he settled too far back over 1000m before working home strongly for fourth.
The rise to 1200m suits, and he won over this course and distance in a stronger race last preparation.
He has tuned up with a decent trial, and Ben Thompson taking the ride is another positive.

ANEMACORE (1) gets the draw to settle closer and looks the bet in the last.
The Shaun Dwyer-trained gelding drew the outside barrier over this course and distance last start and ended up a long last before charging home to finish second, beaten just under a length.
That followed a neck third in the Listed Glasshouse Handicap, so his recent form reads well for this.
The better draw is important. He has not had a barrier this favourable for some time, and Michael Rodd should be able to settle him closer in the run. If he does, he can send us home a winner.
