If you are a regular attendee of Brisbane Lion’s home games at The Gabba you will be no stranger to the party that ensues after each Lion’s goal.
It has been a revolutionary move by the Brisbane Lions to create a fun and engaging atmosphere with their home supporters
Each player on the roster selected their favourite track to be played when they kick a goal and it is safe to say that some are more popular than others.
Everyone has their favourite but we are here to stop sitting on the fence and have outlined the (un)official Brisbane Lions Player Songs Ranked below.
- Charlie Cameron – Country Roads
Is there a better sight than seeing Cameron knocking the ball in front of him, gathering the ball in one hand and belting one through the big sticks from 40 meters out on the run?
Yes. It’s seeing him whip out the invisible handlebars in celebration and belting out this banger in sync with a packed Gabba fortress.

- Lincoln McCarthy – Jessie’s Girl
Small forward Lincoln McCarthy has been an excellent addition to an already star studded forward line at the Brisbane Lions since he moved north from Geelong in 2019.
He’s kicked 13 goals so far this year and that means plenty of opportunities for the crowd to lap up this Rick Springfield classic.
3. Jarrod Berry – T.N.T
Speaking of great inclusions into the team, Jarrod Berry has been a revelation into the midfield for the Lions.
His other great inclusion has been his song selection.
4. Darcy Gardiner – Ring Of Fire
Slowing things down with this Johnny Cash classic is Darcy Gardiner.
His last goal was in 2017 which is a damn shame.
5. Dan Rich – Down Under
He hasn’t missed the mark with his lightning left boot since being drafted in 2008 and he hasn’t missed with is song choice either.
6. Callum Ah Chee – Smells Like Teen Spirit
Ah Chee shows his inner teen angst with this absolute banger that gets the Gabba rocking every time he drills one through the middle.
7. Joe Daniher – Let It Go
Just when parents thought they had escaped Elsa and her extremely catchy tune.
It is a sight to behold seeing all the kids get up out of their seats and belt out this one after a Joey Daniher major.
8. Kai Lohmann – MMMBop
He debuted earlier in the year and is yet to kick a goal but when he does, the Gabba crowd will be seen partying like it’s 1997 when Kai Lohmann kicks his first at home.
9. Oscar McInerney – Fireflies
Not a song I thought the 204cm ruckman would have picked but here we are.
And it’s a bit of a banger if we are being honest.
10. Brendon Starcevich – STAY
Anything featuring Justin Bieber is going to be a crowd pleasure for the younger crowd and this track by The Kid Laroi is no exception.
11. Harry Sharp – Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
Young Midfielder Harry Sharp knows what’s up.
Can’t go wrong with ABBA.
12. Nakia Cockatoo – Mysterious Girl
Another ex-Geelong player.
Another belter of a tune.
13. Harris Andrews – Break My Stride
It’s unlikely we will hear this one hit wonder by Matthew Wilder as Harris Andrews doesn’t venture out of the defensive 50 very often.
He has 10 career goals and did bag one in 2021 so here’s hoping.
14. Dayne Zorko – I Won’t Do What You Tell Me (WWE)
One for the old school wrestling fans here from Dayne Zorko.
15. Jarryd Lyons – You Make My Dreams
An absolute classic from Hall And Oates that we have heard a total of three times at the Gabba this year.
16. Tom Fullarton – Holiday
Who doesn’t love a bit of Greenday!
A fantastic choice.
17. Daniel McStay – Beautiful
Key forward going with a lady pleaser by Akon.
Doesn’t surprise.
18. Zac Bailey – Disturbia
Zac Bailey not only knows how to get the Gabba crowd pumping with a cheeky crumbing goal (he has 21 so far this season) but also with his song selection.
19. Noah Answerth – Stumblin’ In
A little on the slow side but there is no denying this is a absolute tune.
Good to get one in for the oldies too.
Onya Noah.
20. Mitch Robinson – Fight For Your Right
I mean the song title fits perfectly for the tough as nails Robbo and it gets the crowd pumped.
Tick and tick.
21. Ryan Lester – The Horses
He’s only kicked one goal in the past five years since moving into defence but should he drift forward and snag one there is no doubt the Gabbatoir will be on their feet and belting out this classic from old mate Daryl Braithwaite.
22. Darcy Fort – Your Fix
Darcy Fort seems like that guy that takes control of the aux chord at a party and continually plays songs no one knows.
This song certainly isn’t the worst though. Worth a listen. Probably not one for a stadium full of patrons that just want to party to a well known track though!
23. Hugh McCluggage – Rasputin
Another one for the oldies with this classic 70s disco track.
24. Lachie Neale – Run The Road
The 2020 Brownlow Medalist, two-time All Australian and two time B&F winner missed the mark with this from Santigold.
Stadium Rock Lachie.
25. Marcus Adams – Face Off
The Gabba crowd were made to listen to this when key defender Adams kicked a goal against Collingwood.
Here’s to hoping he does continues to do a fantastic shut down role in the defensive 50 for the rest of the season.
26. Cam Rayner – Raingurl
Not only is this choice of this Dance/Electro track not made for a stadium full of footy fans it could (respectfully) quite possibly be one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard.
