WA Guineas
Looking for this year’s W.A. Guineas betting odds, field and form guide? The experts at Neds have put together everything you need to know before this year’s race.
A race restricted to three year olds, the W.A. Guineas is a Group 2 mile event taking place at Ascot Racecourse as part of Railway Stakes Day that kicks off elite level racing for the Perth Summer Racing Carnival.
Offering a lucrative $500,000 in prize money, the WA Guineas can serve as a good lead-up for the best three-year-olds heading towards the Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m) – now known as the Northerly Stakes – a double last completed by gun fillies Arcadia Queen (2018) and Amelia’s Jewel (2022).
The brand new $1.5 million Group 3 The Gold Rush (1400m) held in mid-December for the first time in 2022 is also now a likely target for WA Guineas horses each summer.
