Vinery Stud Stakes 2026 Results
The official 2026 Vinery Stud Stakes results will be available below once the race is run on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
- #2 Belle Cheval
- #5 After Summer
- #3 Salty Pearl
Mark Walker’s The Kiwi runner-up, Savabeel filly Belle Cheval ($2.60F), atoned for her narrow loss across the Tasman in The Kiwi to salute for the punters by a whisker taking out her Australian debut in the 2026 Vinery Stud Stakes results on Saturday. Despite wandering on the straight, she held on and survived a protest by the runner-up After Summer to collect the Group 1 victory. Belle Cheval now heads to the paddock ahead of the spring bypassing the Australian Oaks, which After Summer has firmed notably to win on April 11 at Randwick.

The Vinery Stud Stakes is a Group 1 race run in late March on Tancred Stakes Day over 2000m at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse.

Offering $750,000 in prize money, the set weights race is open only to three-year-old fillies and was formerly known as the Storm Queen Stakes.
The Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) held a fortnight prior makes a nice lead-up into the Vinery Stud Stakes, while the Group 1 ATC Oaks (2400m) at Randwick over ‘The Championships’ is the traditional next-up option.
Verry Elleegant (2019), Hungry Heart (2021) and Treasurethe Moment (2025) are the latest fillies to complete the Vinery Stud Stakes – ATC Oaks double. Verry Elleegant also returned a year later as a four-year-old mare to win the meeting’s Group 1 Tancred Stakes (2400m) ahead of her 2021 Melbourne Cup success that spring.
After smashing the Vinery–ATC Oaks double in 2025, Treasurethe Moment kept the form rolling into spring, taking out the Group 1 Memsie Stakes and placing in a stack of elite races, including a brave third in the Cox Plate. Vinery runner‑up Benagil also flew the flag, heading to Adelaide to win the Group 1 Australasian Oaks before finishing third in the Queensland Oaks to round out a strong winter campaign.

Which Horse Will Win the Vinery Stud Stakes
The best way to pick which horse will win the Vinery Stud Stakes in 2026 is to take into account their lead-up autumn racing form, assess the barriers and look for the proven Group 1 performed fillies.
Additional factors to consider when picking the Vinery Stud Stakes winner include:
- Staying Power – Fillies that can take distances of 1,500 metres or more, are well suited to this longer of races.
- Unbound By Barriers – Over the long term, wide barriers have not proved much of a disadvantage to horses running in this race.
