Which Horse Will Win The Maribyrnong Plate

The best way to pick which horse will win the Maribyrnong Plate in 2021 is to take any lead-up form by the juveniles in the field, their past strike-rate at Flemington and if on debut any lead-up trials.

Additional factors to consider when picking the Maribyrnong Plate winner include:

  • Debutantes – Owing to the very low age of entrants, expect a payoff if you can find an unproven horse that has the right traits to win or place in their first Group listed race off a nice lead-up trial.

Maribyrnong Plate 2021 Favourites

Early favourites in 2021 Maribyrnong Plate betting include the Godolphin-raced Renosu coming off a third on debut in Caulfield’s Listed Debutant Stakes and the Peter Moody-trained Zoustar colt Brereton who ran second in the same lead-up.

Brereton ($6EF in 2021) was the last Maribyrnong Plate favourite or equal favourite to win.
