The Magic Millions Snippets race, formerly known as the Magic Millions Sprint, is one of the $1 million features on the Gold Coast’s $13.75 million Magic Millions Race Day held in Queensland in mid-January.
The hugely popular summer racing meet features a bumper 10 Magic Millions races in 2025 restricted to graduates of the Magic Millions sales and winners of the new ballot exemption lead-up races held in Brisbane.

The event was renamed from the Magic Millions Sprint to the Magic Millions Snippets in 2018 in honour of the first Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Snippets (1987).

The 2025 Magic Millions Snippets results at the Gold Coast saw an upset by Zarastro ($10), trained by Tony Gollan and ridden by Angela Jones. The six-year-old gelding delivered an impressive performance taking the lead early and maintaining a strong pace throughout. He quickened up in the straight, pulling away from the field to secure a decisive victory by two lengths over The Novelist and Semana. This win marked Tony Gollan’s fourth victory in the Magic Millions Snippets, continuing his successful streak in this race. Zarastro’s win was particularly notable as he was originally a $1.05 million purchase and has since earned over $1.3 million in prize money.
