The Magic Millions 3YO Guineas is a $3 million Restricted Listed feature run at the Gold Coast Racecourse in mid-January as part of the lucrative $12.5 million Magic Millions Race Day.
The meeting – part of the wider Magic Millions Racing Carnival – is host to ten Magic Millions races including a trio of Restricted Listed events.
The Magic Millions 3YO Guineas is one of two $3 million events on the card along with the Magic Millions 2YO Classic for juveniles.
Contested over 1400m and open only to three-year-old Magic Millions graduates, the race is run at set weights plus penalties and offers over $1.7 million to the winner.
Many nice horses have won the Magic Millions 3YO Guineas over the years including the brilliant Queenslander Alligator Blood (2020) who was subsequently disqualified for a positive swab to a banned substance.
