Starting out as a Listed Race, this race was upgraded to Group 3 status in 2013.
The 2021 Angst Stakes for was franked with the winning mare Mirra Vision returning in the autumn of 2022 to finish second in the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m).
The 2022 Angst Stakes winner Hope In Your Heart went on to run fourth in that year’s $10 million the Golden Eagle and place in a host of other top-level races including the 2023 Doncaster Mile (4th) and 2023 Queen Of The Turf Stakes (2nd).

The 2024 Angst Stakes takes place as part of Sydney’s The Everest Day at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Saturday October 19, 2024.
Melbourne’s Caulfield Cup Day is held on the same date interstate at Caulfield Racecourse.
The Group 1 $20 million The Everest (1200m) – the world’s richest turf race – is the marquee race on the program, which also features the:
