The Grahame Begg-trained 2023 PJ Bell Stakes winner was Hellbent filly Magic Time ($6) who was too strong first-up retaining her unbeaten record with a tidy victory in the last on Day 1 of The Championships when racing for the first time since a Listed win at Flemington last November over the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The 2024 PJ Bell Stakes winner was the Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou trained daughter of Trapeze Artist, Facile ($11), who posted a narrow victory at double-figures.
The 2025 PJ Bell Stakes winner was three-year-old Zoustar filly She’s Got Pizzazz ($7) for trainers Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman with jockey Blake Shinn aboard on 55kg from barrier 8 to win by 0.26 lengths in a time of 1:09.38.
The 2026 PJ Bell Stakes winner was undefeated three-year-old Zoustar filly Plaintiff at $5 first-up for trainer Peter Snowden with jockey Jordan Childs aboard from barrier 17 of 17 on 55kg to win by 0.43 lengths on a Soft (7) track in a time of 1:10.50.
