The Godolphin-raced mare fought back strongly showing plenty of guts in a thrilling stride-for-stride battle with the short favourite the closing stages thanks to a strong ride by Chad Schofield – who enjoyed a treble on Silver Slipper Day – before getting her head out in front on the line to defeat the favourite.

Run over 1,300 metres each year in February, the Millie Fox Stakes is a Group 2 race with a $300,000 prize purse. Only fillies and mares are able to enter the field, with the event held at Rosehill Gardens as part of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival.
The best female gallopers out of the Millie Fox Stakes may continue on to contest the Group 1 Coolmore Classic (1500m), a double most recently completed by Daysee Doom (2018) and Zougtocha (2024).
In 2025 the Millie Fox Stakes winner, Firestorm, went on to frank the form with a next-up second in the Coolmore Classic.
