Concordance (1988) was the inaugural Empire Rose Stakes winner.
In 2008 Forensics became was the first Golden Slipper winner to win the Empire Rose Stakes (then Myer Classic).
Shoals (2017) was the last filly to win the Empire Rose Stakes.
The 2022 Empire Rose Stakes winner was the Brad Widdup-trained Icebath ($11) who finally secured her deserved Group 1 victory after so many elite level placings.
The 2023 Empire Rose Stakes winner was the Ciaron Maher & David Eustace-trained six-year-old Pride Of Jenni ($16) who was impressive posting a one-length upset after leading all-the-way with Michael Dee aboard.
The 2024 Empire Rose Stakes winner was the Chris Waller-trained favourite Atishu ($3.60F) who went one better than her second last year when flashing home late off a perfectly timed ride by James McDonald to salute for the punters.
The 2025 Empire Rose Stakes winner is TBC and will be known when the important Group 1 Flemington mile race runs on VRC Derby Day, Saturday the 1st of November.
