Game Week 7 is here, and City are still perfect, Arsenal are right behind them, while Spurs, Fulham and Bournemouth are already making life much harder than it needs to be.
Everton are still unbeaten after six games, which is not a sentence many of us expected to be typing in October.
David Moyes has them organised, difficult to break down and more than happy to turn this into a scrap at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Chelsea, meanwhile, put five past Bournemouth last weekend and finally looked like a side capable of putting a game away without needing everyone involved to have a minor heart attack.
João Pedro scored twice in that one and should again be central to their attack.
I can see Everton keeping this tight, but Chelsea have enough quality to find one.
Whether they can stop Everton finding one back is another question entirely.
Score Prediction: Everton 1-1 Chelsea
Potential Goal Scorer: João Pedro
Brentford have quietly gone unbeaten through six games, with four draws and a 3-0 win over Chelsea doing plenty to suggest this lot are going to be a pain in the backside all season.
Liverpool, on the other hand, were given a proper reality check by Manchester City.
A 3-0 home defeat is not the way you want to head into a difficult away trip, especially with Ryan Gravenberch suspended and a few attacking names carrying knocks.
The Reds still have enough talent to nick this, but Brentford are settled, physical and not conceding much.
Igor Thiago should give Liverpool’s centre-backs a proper afternoon, and I reckon the Bees get something from it.
Score Prediction: Brentford 1-1 Liverpool
Potential Goal Scorer: Igor Thiago
City are six from six, top of the league and have just walked into Anfield and won 3-0.
Ipswich have had some good moments and nine points is a respectable return, but this is a different level of assignment.
They are also without suspended winger Issahaku Fatawu, which is not ideal when you are heading to the Etihad looking for a little bit of chaos.
Erling Haaland has six in six, City have 16 goals already, and there is no need to overthink this one.
Score Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Ipswich Town
Potential Goal Scorer: Erling Haaland
Fulham are bottom of the league, winless after six games and still somehow only two points behind the sides directly above them.
That tells you plenty about the early table, but it also tells you Fulham need to start winning home games before this gets ugly.
Hull have made a decent fist of life back in the big league.
They have nine points, have already taken draws at Chelsea and Everton, and are not exactly arriving at Craven Cottage to make up the numbers.
Fulham should see more of the ball, but Hull have enough threat through Mohamed Belloumi to make this awkward.
This feels like another frustrating afternoon for the home side.
Score Prediction: Fulham 1-2 Hull City
Potential Goal Scorer: Mohamed Belloumi
Newcastle’s 4-1 loss at Coventry was one of those results where you check your phone twice just to make sure you read it properly.
They were badly off it, and St James’ Park will expect a serious response.
Villa are not exactly rolling into town full of confidence either.
They have five points from six games and remain short on midfield and defensive options, with Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen and Leon Goretzka among the absentees.
This is a good spot for Newcastle to steady themselves.
Joseph Willock has been one of their more reliable threats this season, and Villa’s away defending has not exactly been a fortress.
Score Prediction: Newcastle United 2-2 Aston Villa
Potential Goal Scorer: Joseph Willock
Leeds lost for the first time this season at Arsenal, but they made the Gunners work for it and Elland Road will be properly up for this one.
They have been difficult to beat, aggressive without the ball and far more settled than plenty expected.
United are now four league matches without a win, and their injury list is not helping.
Benjamin Šeško, Matthijs de Ligt, Manuel Ugarte and Patrick Dorgu are all currently ruled out, leaving Michael Carrick with a few moving parts to sort out.
Bryan Mbeumo remains one of United’s best chances of producing a moment, but I can see Leeds making this a long old afternoon.
Score Prediction: Leeds United 1-1 Manchester United
Potential Goal Scorer: Bryan Mbeumo
This is a proper early-season six-pointer between two sides who could both do with a win and have spent the opening six games making things unnecessarily difficult for themselves.
Bournemouth are still winless, but Marcus Tavernier has been doing his best to drag them through it.
He has three goals already and remains their most likely source of a bit of quality, especially with injuries continuing to thin out the squad.
Sunderland are without Brian Brobbey, their top scorer, and that is a major problem for a side already struggling to create enough.
The Black Cats will stay in the game, but Bournemouth simply need to take this chance.
Score Prediction: Bournemouth 1-0 Sunderland
Potential Goal Scorer: Marcus Tavernier
Brighton are flying.
Three straight wins, 10 goals scored across those games and only two conceded, Fabian Hürzeler has them moving nicely, and they look like a nightmare to play when the press starts working.
Palace were much better in their 3-1 win over Forest, but this is a different sort of test.
They are still expected to be without Axel Disasi through suspension, while Brighton have enough control in midfield to make life miserable for any side that cannot play through their pressure.
Pascal Groß is the sort of bloke who will quietly run the whole game, then pop up with a goal just to make it worse.
Score Prediction: Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 Crystal Palace
Potential Goal Scorer: Pascal Groß
Forest have taken five points from six games and just copped a 3-1 loss at Palace, so Arsenal are catching them at a decent time.
The Gunners are second, have won five of six, and have the sort of control Forest will struggle to deal with if they fall behind early.
Forest are without Nikola Milenković, Nicolò Savona and Igor Jesus, which is a rough trio to lose before Arsenal roll into town.
Liam Delap and Morgan Gibbs-White can still cause problems, but Arsenal should have too much composure in the big moments.
Bukayo Saka already has three league goals and looks the obvious man to make something happen.
Score Prediction: Nottingham Forest 0-2 Arsenal
Potential Goal Scorer: Bukayo Saka
Spurs are still searching for their first win of the season, which is fairly remarkable given they have played six games and have plenty of talent across the squad.
The late draw at Old Trafford was better than another loss, but it is hardly the sort of result that gets everybody dancing in the streets.
Coventry, meanwhile, have suddenly won two on the bounce, including a 4-1 dismantling of Newcastle, and will arrive believing they can make this uncomfortable.
Spurs are without Pedro Porro, Mykhailo Mudryk, Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert and Dejan Kulusevski, but Dominic Solanke is fit, scoring and due a big home performance. Surely. Probably. Please.
Score Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Coventry City
Potential Goal Scorer: Dominic Solanke
