Tristarc Stakes 2026 Betting Tips, Predictions & Favourites

Tristarc Stakes 2026 Betting Tips, Predictions & Favourites

We have Tristarc Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 2 1400m race at Caulfield on Saturday.

Tristarc Stakes odds have Concorde Connie as the favourite, but it promises to be an even contest.

Best Bet
#9 Gold Medallist

GOLD MEDALLIST (7) almost won at nice odds last time out, and she is worth following again for another run.

The 5YO mare often goes under the radar in betting markets, despite being a five-time winner from only 11 starts. She strung wins together earlier in her career, and it’s only a matter of time before that form returns.

She is a past winner at Caulfield and a four-time winner over the distance, so all the stats point towards a good performance, and the odds are better than expected. We priced her at around $5 against this field, and her toughness should be enough to get the job done or at least go close.

Take the odds before late money comes her way, as it can do on race day.

Open Race time:
9. Gold Medallist (7)
J: Luke Nolen 55kg
2×552 T: Peter G Moody & Katherine Coleman
Last start made ground from midfield; 2nd of 11 in the G2 Rose Of Kingston Stakes at Flemington on October 3 over 1400m, on heavy track; 0.5 len behind Stylish with 55kg at $7.50. The race before that raced on the speed and boxed on steadily 5th of 12 in the G2 Let’s Elope Stakes at Flemington on September 12 over 1400m, 1.5 len behind Pondalowie with 55kg at $18. Knocking on the door and should go close.

#12 Concorde Connie

The jury is out on CONCORD CONNIE (10) after running second last start against a much easier field, but she deserves another chance.

She is allowed one sub-standard run after showing so much last season, and she has yet to finish worse than second in five starts, including three wins. That’s tough to look past, and she is a rising star of the turf.

She gets in with a light weight of 55kg, which is another positive, and punters haven’t been turned off by her most recent run. She is rock-solid as the favourite, and she should give a good sight.

The only concern would be a late betting drift, but we can’t see that happening in the final race on Caulfield Cup Day.

J: Jett Stanley 55kg

Second run back. First-up after four months sat on the speed and boxed on steadily 2nd of 7 in a Mares Bm78 at Mornington on September 26 over 1200m, on a slow track; nose behind Per Sempre carrying 59kg at $1.30. Previously second-up favourite; won by 6 len in a 3yo F Hcp at Flemington on April 25 over 1400m defeating Two To Tango carrying 56.5kg at $3.60. Beaten in easier fresh but is better than that and can improve sharply.

#10 Terilee

Our Tristarc Stakes tips include TERILEE (5) at double-figure odds. She wasn’t far away last time out behind Concorde Connie, and that race could be a good form guide for this race.

She is another mare that has made a good beginning to her career, including four wins and three placings. It’s tough to ignore that form, and if the favourites don’t get everything going their way, she could be there to strike.

William Pike takes the ride with 55kg on her back, and a good ride could get her home. She won’t take long to win another race, and we would love to see her win on Saturday at generous odds.

Previously second-up won by 1.75 len in a F&M Bm74 at Sandown-Hillside on February 25 over 1400m in soft going defeating Flowerdale carrying 55.5kg at $2.50. Solid return and trip suits, rough chance.

Same Race Multi
$8 (at time of publish)

Punters get value odds with our Tristarc Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners.

  • Top 3 – No. 9 Gold Medallist
  • Top 3 – No. 12 Concorde Connie
  • Top 5 – No. 10 Terilee

We have Gold Medallist Top 3, Concorde Connie Top 3, and Terilee Top 5, which pays $8.00 for our three-runner SRM.

We would be surprised if Gold Medallist and Concorde Connie weren’t fighting out the finish. They are the best horses in the race, and if Terilee can finish in the first five home, we expect to cash with our same-race multi.
