Sheraco Stakes 2026 Betting Tips, Predictions & Favourites

We have Sheraco Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 2 1200m race at Rosehill on Saturday.

Sheraco Stakes odds have Lazzura listed as the favourite, and the Chris Waller-trained mare will be hard to beat.

Best Bet
#2 Lazzura

LAZZURA (5) loves racing at Rosehill with four starts for two wins and two second placings, and she tops our Sheraco Stakes tips in 2026.

The 5YO daughter of Snitzel went to another level in the autumn, and she could be in for a very successful spring campaign. It’s good to see James McDonald picking her to ride in the big race.

He would have had the pick of the Waller rides, and we’re not surprised to see him go with Lazzura. She is a physical mare who will get a good run from barrier 5, and McDonald is the best at positioning them in the run.

The $3.10 odds about where we priced her, and she is the one to beat.

Next Best
#1 Lady Shenandoah

The winning chances of LADY SHENANDOAH (10) largely depend on how the race is run, but we’re hoping they go quickly up front, and she will be steaming home from the back of the field.

Drawing barrier 10 isn’t ideal, but she prefers getting into the open before making a late run, and her finish for fourth behind Autumn Glow and Sheza Alibi last start in the Winx Stakes was excellent.

We liked the way she ran through the line behind two champions, and if she runs up to that level, she should be right on the cusp of winning this race. She is still in the mix for a spot in The Everest, and a win on Saturday could secure her spot in the big race.

Best Roughie
#10 Plaintiff

There is a lot of upside with PLAINTIFF (8), and although yet to be tested against this level of opposition, we wouldn’t mind owning her.

She has four wins and a second placing from five starts, with the second placing coming last start behind Snitzel Dancer. It’s not high-level form, but she will only improve with more racing under her belt this season.

There is an unknown quantity about the 4YO, and that’s why we’re including her in our Sheraco Stakes predictions. Should be anything, and we’re happy to take the $10 odds to find out how good she is.

We wouldn’t be shocked to see her odds firm to a single-figure quote on Saturday, so it’s best to jump on early.

Same Race Multi
$7.525 (at time of publish)

Punters get value odds with our Sheraco Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners.

  • Top 2 – No. 2 Lazzura
  • Top 3 – No. 1 Lady Shenandoah
  • Top 5 – No. 10 Plaintiff

We have Lazzura Top 2, Lady Shenandoah Top 3, and Plaintiff Top 5, which pays $7.25 for our three-runner SRM.

Lazzura and Lady Shenandoah should run in the trifecta, as the two class horses in the race. Plaintiff is good enough to run at least fifth, and she should be on speed and grinding home well.
