Game Week 31 shapes as one of the spiciest slates of the season, with goals, chaos, and a few desperate sides fighting for survival all on the menu this weekend.
Game week 31 gets underway at theVitality Stadium, where the Cherries look to build on a run of 10 league games without defeat (4W,6D).
Meanwhile, Man United have lost once across their last 13 league fixtures (8W,4D), and have won seven of their last nine (1D,1L)!
Goals are a dime a dozen in Man United away fixtures, with both teams finding the back of the net in 12 of their last 13 games on the road (5W,5D,3L).
The same can be said of six of the last seven home fixtures for the Cherries (2W,4D,1L).
This pair played out a 4-4 draw earlier in the season, and I’m backing another high-scoring thriller to materialise here.
The Reds look to break back into the top four with a victory over the Seagulls on the road.
Liverpool are winless across their last two fixtures in all comps (as of 18/3), after gifting the Spurs their first point in six games.
Meanwhile, Brighton has won three of their last four league fixtures, and are drawing towards the top half of the table.
The Reds have traditionally dominated this fixture, winning five of the pair’s las six meetings (1L).
Liverpool are having a rough time of it, but I have them bouncing back with a win here.
It’s all or nothing for the Clarets who are 10 points from safety with just eight games remaining.
They’ll take on a Fulham outfit looking to challenge for European places next season.
The Cottagers have suffered three defeats across their last for home fixtures in all comps (1W), a fact that should inspire confidence in the visitors.
I can see this one turning into a nervy affair, with defense dominating offense.
The unders have saluted in each of the Cottagers last three games, and in the last two fixtures the Clarets were involved in.
Taking the unders.
Fulham
The Toffees host the Blues this weekend, with both sides looking to bounce back from defeats.
Chelsea find themselves in a real slump at the moment, losing three straight games across all competitions, including being destroyed 8-2 across two UCL games against PSG.
The Blues also required extra time to see off Hollywood side Wrexham in the FA Cup, meaning they’ve only won once in regular time across their last seven starts in all comps (2D,4L).
Meanwhile, Everton’s late defeat against Arsenal last week broke a spell of back-to-back league victories.
Chelsea have won once across their last eight away fixtures against the Toffees (2D,5L).
I’m backing another Everton upset.
Have Leeds run out of steam?
The newly promoted outfit has been dragged back into the relegation scrap after failing to find a win across their last five league starts (3D,2L).
They’ll face a Brentford side who are three points out of the top 6, and have lost once across their last seven league fixtures (3W,3D).
I think the pressure is getting to the Leeds organisation, and I’m happy to take the money on offer for the traveling underdogs.
The Toon host the Black Cats in what should be a heated Tyne-Wear Derby.
Sunderland won the reverse fixture 1-0 at home earlier in the season, but their form has since dropped away.
Similarly, the Magpies have been largely inconsistent of late, neither winning nor losing back-to-back fixtures across their last nine fixtures in all comps (4W,1D,4L).
The Toon were embarrassed on the road last time out, conceding seven goals at Camp Nou against Barca!
I’m expecting a far more pragmatic approach at home against their local rivals, backing the unders to salute for a fifth straight game for Sunderland.
Tottenham vs Notts Forest, it doesn’t get much bigger than this!
A fixture between to clubs caught in a death spiral, with the loser to be thrown further into the depths of a relegation fist fight.
Forest have the edge on the Spurs recently, wining the pair’s last three meetings, with Tottenham finding the back of the net just once across the trip.
The Tricky Trees haven’t tasted league victory since January (4D,3L), in fact, they’ve only won once across their last 10 games in all competitions.
Meanwhile, the Spurs haven’t claimed a league win since December 2025 (4D,7L), with their only victories this calendar year coming in the UCL.
Neither side to win is the best play for mine.
A shortened Game Week 31 wraps up on Sunday evening (AEST), when the Villans host the Hammers in a claret derby.
Villa are staring down the barrel of a fourth straight league defeat, as they continue to struggle balancing European football with the domestic demand.
They’ll face a West Ham outfit who are hell bent on dragging themselves out of the drop zone, and are so far doing a great job of it.
The Irons have lost twice across their last 12 games in all competitions (7W,3D), and enter this game after putting an end to Man City’s title hopes with a 1-1 draw not he road.
Villa will once again be entering the weekend on a short turn around from Europa League Football, and I can see them getting run ragged by a Hammers side with their tails up.
