Game Week 29 is here, and with the table tightening at both ends, every point suddenly means that little bit more.
Game Week 29 kicks-off on Wednesday morning (AEST) when the Toffees welcome the Clarets to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Everton hasn’t been particularly strong at home of late, going winless in seven games across all competitions (2D,5L).
Fortunately, they’ll be playing a Burnley outfit who haven’t been particularly good anywhere!
The Toffees have won their last three home games against the Clarets, and will enter this game with an air of confidence after seeing off Newcastle 3-2 on the road.
I’m backing an arm wrestle in the first half, with Everton running away with the game after the break.
Leeds play host to fellow newly promoted outfit, Sunderland, as both sides look to pull further clear of the dreaded drop zone.
The Black Cats ended a run of three straight league defeats with a draw on the road to Bournemouth, although their away form leaves much to be desired, going without a league win since October 2025 (4D,5L).
Meanwhile, Leeds has only lost two of their last eight fixtures at Elland Rd (4W,2D), those loses coming against Arsenal and Man City.
The White haven’t managed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven fixtures across all comps.
I like the home team to pick up a win or draw, combined with both sides scoring.
The Bees travel to Bournemouth looking to secure a fourth straight away win in the league, and pull themselves into the top six.
Meanwhile, the Cherries are out to extend a run of eight league games without defeat (4W,4D), although three draws in their last four fixtures has kept them sitting firmly mid-table.
Recent history points towards a Bees victory here, with Brentford going eight games without defeat against the Cherries, winning the pairs last five meetings.
I like the juice on offer for Brentford to win on the road.
Fulham
The Wolves celebrated their 2nd win of the season over the weekend, and have taken points from three of their last four league fixtures (1W,2D).
Meanwhile, the Reds have won six of their last seven games in all comps (1L), and are making a late dash for a top 3 finish in the league.
Liverpool has completely dominated this fixture in recent years, winning 17 of the pairs’ last 18 meetings (1L), with 10 of those victories accompanied by a clean sheet.
I’m backing Liverpool to win to nil.
The Cottagers and the Hammers are set to go toe-to-toe in an intriguing London Derby on Thursday morning (AEST).
Fulman are looking to secure a third straight league win, and cement their place in the top half of the table.
While, West Ham are out to bridge the two-point gap between themselves in the drop zone and Nottingham Forest in 17th.
Fulham has been particularly impressive at home of late, winning five of they last seven games at Craven Cottage across all competition (1D,1L).
I like the Cottagers side at the current price.
The Seagulls will be hoping to build on their imposing home record when they welcome the Gunners to the Amex Stadium.
Brighton have lost just two fixtures at home dating back to April 2025 (8W,8D).
While, Arsenal have gone 10 games without defeat on the road across all comps (7W,3D), though they have draw two of their last three, with both stalemates coming against sides you’d fancy them beating (Wolves & Bees).
The Gunners are fighting tooth and nail for every point available to hold off Man City’s late run at the title, I think they’ll find a way to win on the road here, likely via a set piece.
Two sides searching for form in Villa and Chelsea, are set to face off with European places still up for grabs.
The Villans have hit a wall in February, winning just one of six fixtures in all comps (2D,3L), most recently losing to rivals and league cellar dwellers, Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Meanwhile, the Blues have failed to win in their las three league outings (2D,1L), as Liam Rosenior’s honeymoon period comes to an abrupt end.
Villa have won the last two H2H against Chelsea, both games finishing 2-1.
I like both teams to score and over 2.5 total goals to salute.
Eight win across nine game in all comps (1D), makes Man City the form side in the comp at the minute.
The Sky Blues are finally beginning to bring things together defensively, with three clean sheets in their last four games, with Rodri’s return to fitness playing a huge role.
Meanwhile, the Tricky Trees find themselves in a tricky situation, losing three straight games across all competitions, and sitting just two points above the drop zone.
The Citizens have won five of the last six fixtures against Forest, keeping four clean sheets across the trip.
I like Man City to Nil.
If Man United sack Amorim a couple months earlier they might be in a title race…
The Red Devils have gone 11 league fixtures without tasting defeat (7W,4D), winning six of their last seven starts.
Alternatively, the Toon have lost five of their last six league fixtures (1W), with only Forest and the Spurs picking up less competition points across the last five games.
All about the Carrick train! Man United to win as underdogs.
Game Week 29 comes to an end on Friday morning (AEST) when Tottenham host Crystal Palace in the ‘Sad Scene’ Derby.
The Spurs made a huge error in parting ways with Ange Postegolou after he broke their trophy draught last season, with the Aussie possibly placing a curse on his former side who are now battling for survival.
Only Wolverhampton (9) have picked up less competition points at home this season than Tottenham’s 10, with the Spurs managing just two wins from 14 fixtures (4D,8L).
Both sides are bad, Tottenham are worse.
