Premier League Game Week 28 Tips & Preview

Premier League Game Week 28 Tips & Preview

Game Week 28 shapes as a season-defining weekend in the Premier League, with title contenders under pressure, European hopefuls jostling for position, and relegation-threatened sides running out of time to save their campaigns.

Wolverhampton Wanderers
vs
Aston Villa
Saturday 28th February 2026 6:00 AM
Aston Villa and Over 1.5 Goals $2.25

Game week 28 gets underway on Saturday morning (AEST), when the Wolves play host to the Villans.

Villa enters this fixture in the midst of a form slump, winning once across their last five games in all comps (2D,2L), although one loss over their last 11 away fixtures maybe gives fans a reason to believe.

Meanwhile, the Wolves blimp in form looks to have been nothing more than just that, with the soon to be Championship side going winless in eight league games since their first victory of the season (4D,4L).

It’s hard to look past the Villans on the road, I have them winning combined with over 1.5 total goals.

AFC Bournemouth
vs
Sunderland AFC
Saturday 28th February 2026 10:30 PM
AFC Bournemouth and Over 2.5 Goals $2.60

Bournemouth look to go eight league fixtures without defeat (4W,3D) when they play host to a struggling Sunderland outfit on Saturday night (AEST).

The Cherries current streak of seven games without defeat is only bested by Man United (10), another win here would take them into the top 7 and closer to a European birth.

Meanwhile, the Black Cats have lost their last three league fixtures, with their early season form finally abandoning them.

Both teams have scored in each of the Cherries last five home fixtures, with over 4.5 goals coming in three of those games!

I’m backing Bournemouth’s dominance to continue here, combined with at least three goals scored!

Newcastle United
vs
Everton FC
Sunday 1st March 2026 1:00 AM
Everton FC or Draw $2.05

The Magpies league form is a growing concern for Eddie Howe, as his side enters this fixture having lost four of their last five PL fixtures (1W), with only Sunderland losing as many matches across the same trip.

Similarly, the Toffee’s have lost their last two league fixtures, both played at home, while their away record is up there with the best in the league.

Everton are unbeaten across their last five away games (3W,2D), winning three of their last four, and keeping five clean sheets across their last eight (5W,2D,1L).

I’m backing the visitors to pile onto the already huge mountain of woe at St. James Park, taking at least one point away from their travels.

Fulham

Burnley
vs
Brentford
Sunday 1st March 2026 1:00 AM
HT/FT Brentford/Brentford $2.63

Burnley fight to keep their season alive when they welcome the Bees to Turf Moor.

The Clarets have collected just 10 competition points at home this season (2W,4D,7L), with only Wolverhampton earning less (6).

Meanwhile, Brentford have won six of their last seven away fixtures in all comps (1L), including trips to Villa Park, and St. James Park!

Oddly, the Bees are yet to record a draw on the road this season (5W,8L).

I’m backing Brentford to drive the first nail into the Clarets EPL coffin.

Liverpool
vs
West Ham United
Sunday 1st March 2026 1:00 AM
Liverpool and Under 3.5 Goals $2.60

Liverpool look to secure their fourth straight win across all competitions, and their fifth straight win against the Hammers when they welcome the London side to Anfield.

The Reds have lost just once across their last 10 home fixtures, that was thanks to a cruel injury time penalty against Man City.

The last 10 games between this pair at Anfield have seen the home side win, with West Ham winning just once here across 58 games (14D,43L).

11 of Liverpools 13 homes fixtures this season have seen under 3.5 goals scored, while the same can be said of 11 of West Ham’s 13 away games.

I have the Reds winning, combined with the unders.

Leeds United
vs
Manchester City
Sunday 1st March 2026 3:30 AM
Manchester City to Win & Both Teams to Score $3.10

Man City will be attempting to keep the pressure on league leaders Arsenal, when they travel to Elland Rd to take on Leeds.

The Sky Blues are unbeaten across eight games in all competitions (7W,1D), winning their last five games.

Recent history between this pair points towards a win for the visitors, with Man City striving to defeat Leeds for the sixth straight time.

Both teams have scored in nine of the last 11 games at Elland Rd, and I’m backing another higher scoring affair to materialize here, with City ultimately coming out on top.

Manchester United
vs
Crystal Palace
Monday 2nd March 2026 12:00 AM
Manchester United and Under 4.5 Goals $1.95

Step aside Sir Alex Ferguson, Michael Carrick might be the second coming of Man United’s lord and savior.

Getting carried away?

Carrick has now gone nine games without defeat across two stints as Man United’s interim coach (7W,2D), with only Ole Gunnar Solskjær (11) and Herbert Bamlett (10) managing more games for the club before tasting defeat.

The Red Devils will face a Crystal Palace side who have won two fixtures across their last 16 starts in all competitions, but have also been victorious over their last two trips to Old Trafford.

Saying that, Old Trafford is starting to become the fortress of old, with United winning their last three home fixtures, and going unbeaten here in the PL since November 2025 (4W,3D).

Let’s take Man United to win, combined with under 4.5 total goals scored.

Brighton & Hove Albion
vs
Nottingham Forest
Monday 2nd March 2026 12:00 AM
Brighton & Hove Albion $2.05

The Seagulls put a stop to a three game losing streak last weekend, surprising Brentford on the road with a 2-0 victory.

They’ll be hosting a Forest outfit who have as many wins as they have had managers this calendar year (2).

Brighton’s form has largely undulated this season, but just two loses at home across all competitions will give them confidence heading into this one (5W,6D).

Meanwhile, the Tricky Trees’ away form is plastered with red, losing 10 of their 20 away games across all competitions (6W,4D), with three of their six road wins coming against sides in the Europa League.

I like the Seagulls at above even money here.

Fulham FC
vs
Tottenham Hotspur
Monday 2nd March 2026 12:00 AM
Fulham FC $2.10

Tottenham are in free fall at them moment, and they might find themselves tumbling all the way down into the Championship.

The Spurs look to snap a three game losing streak when they travel to Craven Cottage, where they have been soundly beaten in each of their last two visits (2-0 & 3-0).

Alternatively, a win for Fulham could see them rise as high as 7th in the league, pending other results.

The Cottagers have won four of their last six home games across all comps (1D,1L), with both teams scoring in five of those fixtures.

Let’s keep it simple and back against the Spurs.

Arsenal FC
vs
Chelsea
Monday 2nd March 2026 2:30 AM
Draw $3.90

Game week 28 comes to a close on Monday morning (AEST), when the Gunners host the Blues in a high stakes London Derby.

This will be the fourth time this pair have met this season, with Arsenal winning both legs of their EFL Cup Semi, while the points were split in the reverse EPL fixture, a game the Chelsea may’ve won if they hadn’t gone down to 10 men early.

The Blues have looked assured on the road this season, with only Arsenal (29) claiming more away competition points (6W,3D,4L).

Alternatively, only Man City (35) have performed better at home than Arsenal, who have lost just once at the Emirates on the way to collecting 32 competition points (10W,2D).

As good as the Gunners home record has been, they have dropped points in two of their last three games at the Emirates, and I think they’ll be vulnerable again here.

For the sake of a spicy title race, I’m backing the Blues to steal a point on the road.
