I’m backing against the new manager bounce, instead taking the form side to win at huge overs.
Fulham
Two struggling outfits are set to meet at the Stadium of Light as the Black Cats play host to the Eagles.
Sunderland are winless in five league fixtures (4D,1L), although they still remain unbeaten at home this season (5W,5D).
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are winless in nine games across all comps (3D,6L), and most recently suffered a humiliating and historic defeat in the FA Cup, losing 2-1 to non-league side Macclesfield, the biggest Cup upset in over 100 years!
The Eagles have also lost four road games on the trot.
With both sides deep in a form slump, I am leaning towards a low-scoring draw.
The Reds look to extend a run of 11 games without defeat in all comps (6W,5D), when the welcome the Clarets to Anfield this weekend.
The reigning Champs are slowly finding their footing this season, but are still showing signs of vulnerability, drawing each of their last three league starts.
Alternatively, Burnley has lost all but two away fixtures this season (1W,1D,8D), and have fallen to defeat in each of their last six games against the Reds.
Give me the Reds to win, combined with a goal from Hugo Ekitike.
The Spurs host the Hammers in a sorry state of affairs.
West Ham are winless in 10 league fixtures (4D,6L), and haven’t won on the road since August 2025 (4D,4L).
Meanwhile, Tottenham have won once in seven games across all comps (2D,4L), and are winless across their last three homes games (1D,2L).
It’s grim viewing for all involved.
I’m backing both sides to concede and over 2.5 total goals.
Five wins from their last six league games (1D) has the Gunners sitting six points clear of Man City and Aston Villa on top of the PL table.
Arsenal have choked from this position before, although they never boasted this level of squad depth before, nor have their rivals looked so weak.
Alternatively, a win against relegation rivals West Ham put an end to Nottingham’s four game losing streak, leaving them seven points clear of the drop zone in 17th place.
I like the league leaders to win by multiple goals on the road.
The Wolves hope to build on their newfound from when they welcome the Magpies to Molineux Stadium.
Wolverhampton have collected more points in their last three fixtures (1W,2D), than they had in the 18 games prior (2D,16L).
Meanwhile, the Toon are chasing four league wins on the fly, and a chance to climb into the top four.
The Wolves recent success has come against sides on the slide, I’m not ready to back them against a competent outfit like Newcastle.
Toon to win and over 1.5 goals.
A combination of AFCON, injuries, and suspensions has left the toffees calling upon their junior sides to fill out a squad in the Premier League.
Villa are on an incredible run of 11 straight wins across all comps at Villa Park, with their three most recent victories seeing both teams score and over 2.5 goals.
Give me Villa and over 1.5 goals.
Game Week 22 comes to a close on Tuesday morning (AEST), when Brighton plays host to Bournemouth.
The Cherries broke a spell of 11 league fixtures without a win last time out, with a 3-2 victory over Tottenham, although the game winner and Bournemouth’s best player Antoine Semenyo has just signed for Manchester City.
