With only a handful of regular season games left we are edging closer and closer to post season A-League.
The Brisbane Roar and Perth Glory have been eliminated from finals contention already but there is still plenty of action up the pointy end of the table.
Here is my preview for Round 25 of the 2024/25 A-League Season!
Brisbane Roar have nothing but pride left to play for at this point in the season and to be honest with you I’m not sure if they have much of that left either.
Somehow, someway the Roar are favourites in this fixture against Macarthur but I’m not having a bar of it.
Even if the Bulls only have one win in their last five, I don’t give the Roar a hope in hell of winning here.
Value for the Bulls.
Auckland returned to their winning ways last week and have the opportunity to make it two in a row on Saturday afternoon against a WSW side who ended their winning streak last week with a draw.
On paper this fixture looks closer than the bookies are giving it credit for, Auckland have drawn three of their last four and the Wanderers have won four of their last five.
The draw looks very tempting here but the little gremlin on my shoulder is telling me to stick with Auckland here and he’s talking with a Kiwi accent.
Auckland are $1.95 for a reason and I like them to get another three points here.
Probably not worth digging too deep into this fixture, the Mariners are a jaw dropping $7 to pick up three points against City here.
City have returned to their winning ways of late and have the opportunity to jump up to second place if results go their way this weekend.
City head to head.

Well I didn’t realise United had the Glory when I was writing that.
I don’t give Perth any chance in this one either, they’re terrible and have nothing to play for now.

We’ve got four games on the Saturday and we wrap proceedings up with a clash that should hopefully be competitive.
It’s relatively even money for the Reds and Sky Blues here, $2.30 plays $2.65 and both these sides will be hungry for a win to keep them in the top 6.
The betting trends are steering me towards a draw, three of Sydney FC’s last four night matches have resulted in a draw but a wise man once told me I’d get splinters in my bum by sitting on the fence.
I lean towards Sydney here, Adelaide have not won a game in their last five fixtures.
Have they forgotten how to do it?
This is a winnable fixture for the Phoenix and I refuse to listen to the naysayers.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen the Nix pick up a win, 20th of January to be exact but I can see them picking up the upset here.
Two draws against both Sydney sides the last two rounds, they can easily get one over the Jets here who have struggled in that same space of time.
