The Good, The Bad and The Fantasy – NFL Week 12 2024 Recap

The bye week brutality is almost over NFL fans, I hope your fantasy teams survived the byes this week (mine did not)

There’s plenty to discuss, so let’s not waste any time, here is my week 12 recap!

The Good

TNF Weather

Winter is officially hit in the US and it made for an incredible spectacle on TNF.

There’s no other sport in the world that would go ahead in these conditions and I absolutely loved it, spectacular television!

Shootouts Galore

Despite a smaller card of games in Week 12, we were treated to some very exciting close games.

You couldn’t take your eyes off redzone at the end of the early slate of games there were some massive moments across the board.

Will we be treated to the same level of play in the Thanksgiving games?

Bryce Young

You’ll be pressed to find a better looking bunch of losers in any sport over the last week.

For the Panthers and Bryce Young specifically to have the turn around they’ve had in the last few weeks and push the current back to back champs to overtime was highly commendable.

The Bryce narrative is starting to change too and I am here for it!

Detroit

It’s the Lions best start to a season since 1934 and it’s their Super Bowl to lose at the moment.

Bo Nix

That boy can play!

Bo has completley revitalised Denver this year and has them looking like a team that could sneak into the playoffs for what feels like the first time in yonks.

He’s breathing down Daniels’ neck in the OROY race too.

Saquon Barkley

Hell yeah.

The Bad

The Giants

Incredibly turbulent week in NY with their franchise guy Daniel Jones requesting a release.

The Giants then went on to get blown out by Tampa Bay.

Is it the playcalling? Is it the players?

They are in a true rebuild right now and it is a tough watch.

Kickers

It was a rough week for the kickers especially Austin Seibert who let all the air out of the tyres in Washington with this missed PAT.

The Texans also missed a kick and went on to lose the game.

We see a lot of Aussie punters get picked up in the NFL.

Maybe it’s time the NFL go north of the Barrasi line and pick up some washed up Rugby League halves to convert their extra points.
