The Good, The Bad and The Fantasy – NFL Week 6 2024 Recap

The Good, The Bad and The Fantasy – NFL Week 6 2024 Recap

Six weeks of NFL in the books and if I get one more Sleeper notification that a player of mine is injured, I’m going Ari Gold with the paintball gun around the Neds office.

There’s plenty to discuss this week, let’s dive into my week 6 recap!

NFL WEEK 6 TIER LIST

The Good

Rookie QBs

It’s starting to look like this is one of the strongest rookie QB classes we’ve seen in quite some time.

Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels are officially NFL studs (I’m willing to say it) and Drake Maye showed some flashes yesterday in his first professional start.

It’s obviously very early days in these young men’s careers but we’ve seen way more promise in these rookies than we’ve seen in many previous rookie classes.

2023: Bryce Young (benched), CJ Stroud (stud), Anthony Richardson (glassbones), Will Levis (meme)

2022: Kenny Pickett (benched), Desmond Ridder (benched), Malik Willis (benched), Brock Purdy (Him)

2021: Trevor Lawrence (Is he good?), Zach Wilson (benched), Trey Lance (Azkaban), Justin Fields (Playing a role in Pittsburgh for now), Mac Jones (benched).

It’s been quite some time since the early QBs taken in the draft have all fired and I’m thoroughly enjoying it.

Baker Mayfield

I used to get laughed at for believing Baker was him back when he was kicking around the league looking for a team to give him a proper chance.

Who’s laughing now? (It’s me, I’m laughing. Clearly my ball knowledge is far superior than most).

It’s been a while since Jameis Winston played in Tampa but Baker tried his absolute best to put up a Jameis-esque stat line 325 yards,  4 TDs and 3 INTs.

It was enough to put 51 points on the division rivals, I get the feeling the Tampa coaches won’t be too fussed about Baker’s ints he leades the league in touchdown passes with 15.

Detroit Lions

They took the absolute piss out of Dallas with trick plays and school yard bullshit all game.

I’m starting to think Dallas might not be a playoff team this year.

Green Bay WRs

Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Jayden Reed… pick your poison.

Green Bay’s WR room is the definition of a hydra.

They all know how to torch a secondary and if you take one away, the other two eat.

GB’s top three all found the endzone this week and torched the Cardinals.

This specific run from Joe Burrow

Hell yeah.

Will Levis Memes

Will Levis’ QB play should probably be in “The Bad” section of this article but the content he pumps out on a weekly basis from a meme perspective is top tier.

Makes the Titans borderline watchable

The Bad

Dallas Cowboys

From not paying their elite WR all training camp to Jerry Jones getting caught measuring player’s dongs from the sideline.

The Cowboys have been a circus this year and they’re starting to reap what they sew.

The Lions v Cowboys game last year in the playoffs was must watch TV and the game this week was must watch purely because Detroit clowned them the whole game.

Things need to change in Dallas but I don’t know if they will anytime soon.

The Raiders

Speaking of Circuses, Sin City is going through it this year.

Especially with the news that they might not trade Davantae Adams.

No franchise QB, a diva WR that doesn’t want to suit up and a frustrated star DE putting his hands on a coach out of frustration.

The Raiders are one of the teams in the league that are furthest away from any sort of post season success in my eyes.

The only thing the Raiders have had going for them in my lifetime is that NWA used to wear their merch.

The Panthers

Do you know what the Panthers are trying to do this year?

If you do I reckon you’re doing better than their coaching staff.

Andy Dalton had one great game after Bryce Young was benched but they’re now 1-5 and he’s come crashing back to earth.

Their season is over, they’ve invested a monumental amount of capital in a QB that is sitting on the bench doing nothing.

Whether you think Bryce is the answer in Carolina or not they need to be playing him.

At this point in the year you need to be looking to the future and hoping that you can turn this young QB prospect around.

The Fantasy

Lamar Jackson Fantasy MVP, could he be the real one too?
