Two months of NFL is officially under our belt, crazy how quick it comes and goes.
It was a full slate of games for Week 8 but we’re back to bye week stress once again, this week the Steelers and 49ers put their feet up.
Statistically it was the greatest week ever for the tight end position will we see that trend continue moving forward?
Here’s where I’ve landed for Week 9 of the 2024/25 NFL Season.
Genuine headscratcher for me price wise on this TNF clash.
The 2-6 Jets are somehow betting favourites against CJ Stroud and the Texans.
Granted Stefon Diggs and Nico Collins are out for Houston but do we really have THAT much confidence in the Jets?
Joe Mixon is in career best form in that Houston backfield and you can’t help but think Tank Dell gets force fed in this game.
The Jets should improve eventually but I don’t believe they have what it takes to keep up with the Texans.
My Bets Multi $5.16
- Houston Texans @ $2.05
- Tank Dell 60+ Receiving Yards @ $1.87
- Joe Mixon Anytime Touchdown @ $1.80
- Side Bet: Breece Hall 70+ Rushing Yards @ $2.02
Hamstrung by a rib injury last week Jayden Daniels still found a way to beat the Bears last week.
The front runner for OROTY now gets a favourable matchup against the New York Giants that they should be able to win comfortably.
New York have some fun pieces but with rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr in concussion protocol and Daniel Jones still being a starting NFL quarterback, it’s hard to see them competing with this red hot Commies team.
Washington to cover.
My Bets
- Washington Commander -3.5 @ $1.90
- Jayden Daniels 275+ Passing Yards
- Terry Mclaurin Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Are the Browns back?
They knocked off Super Bowl contenders in the Ravens last week and seemed refreshed with Famous Jameis under centre.
It is certainly an interesting matchup in the early slate of games, the Chargers have had a lot of struggles this year but on paper should win this game.
A hard one for me to pick, I’m gonna wuss out and back the overs, this should be a high scoring affair, the Browns have been allergic to playing defence this year.
My Bets
- Over 42.5 Points @ $1.90
- Ladd McConkey 60+ Receiving Yards
- Ladd McConkey Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Just threw up in my mouth thinking about this game.
With Drake Maye in concussion protocol, this game is borderline unwatchable.
If I wasn’t paid to talk about this game I wouldn’t be giving it any thought at all.
Give me the unders and move on.
My Bets
- Under 38 Points @ $1.90
It was tough going for the Bengals against Philly last week and they’ll need to turn things around rapidly if they want any chance of post season plans.
The Bengals are running out of Ls they can take and with a favourable match up this week, you’d think they keep their hopes alive just a little bit longer.
This is a matchup that Cincy should win, I’m not reading too much into the Raiders keeping it close with KC.
Nothing about the Raiders gives me any confidence that they can compete with the Bengals here.
My Bets
- Cincinnati Bengals -7 @ $1.87
- Joe Burrow 250+ Passing Yards
- Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown
Fresh off the Diontae Johnson trade, the Ravens will host a Broncos side that are playing well above their paygrade at the moment.
Lamar and Co will be looking to bounce back after a shock loss to the Browns and should do that this week despite Denver being a strong defence.
The Broncos shut down the Panthers quite comfortably last week, can they do that again against the Ravens?
I’m leaning towards no.
There’s too many hot boys in Baltimore, I like them to cover.
My Bets
- Baltimore Ravens -9.5 @ $1.70
- Derrick Henry 75+ Rushing Yards
- Lamar Jackson Anytime Touchdown
My word Dallas are impossible to get a read of this season.
One of the more disappointing teams in 2024, America’s team is $2.15 underdogs against Kirk Thuggins and the ATL Falcons.
Big Kirko and the Falcons are 5-3 on the year and edged out the Buccaneers last week, have they got it in them again here?
Based on the Cowboys form, you’d argue that the Dirty Birds cover here comfortably.
That’s where I’m leaning too, walk in to your trap, take over your trap Yung Kirko.
My Bets
- Atlanta Falcons -2.5 @ $1.90
- Bijan Robinson Anytime Touchdown
- Drake London 60+ Receiving Yards
We saw enough good spots from Bryce Young last week to see him continue as the Panthers QB in Week 9.
Does that mean the Saints are in trouble here?
If Derek Carr returns which looks likely, I’d say no.
Carr’s health is one to monitor in this one, the Saints have got no go forward if he’s not on the field.
Last week they benched Spencer Rattler for Jake Haener, the only player in the league zestier than Caleb Williams.
I’m tipping as if Carr plays and I’m taking the Saints to cover, I get bullied enough for being a Bryce Young believer in this office, I don’t want my wallet copping it too.
If Carr is out, Panthers to cover.
My Bets
- New Orleans Saints -7 @ $1.90
- Alvin Kamara 60+ Rushing Yards
- Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown
Tua is thrown straight back into the fire in his second start post concussion, it was the reverse fixture where he dove head first into Damar Hamlin and KO’d himself.
The Dolphins are massive outsiders here at $3.15 but last week we saw how different of a team they are with a healthy Tagovailoa.
Massive head to head price for only a points line of 6, what do the bookies know?
I’m leaning towards Miami to cover in this one, an extra week of healthy Tua is nothing but good for the Phins.
They are one of the most exciting teams in football when they’re firing on all cylinders.
My Bets
- Miami Dolphins +6 @ $1.94
- DeVon Achane 60+ Rushing Yards
- James Cook 60+ Rushing Yards
- Tyreek Hill Anytime Touchdown
Jacksonville cannot buy a win this year and their backs are up against the wall this week against the Eagles who look like they’ve got their swagger back.
308 yards and a trio of all purpose tuddies was not enough for TLaw to steer his boys to win against Green Bay.
Now Christian Kirk is done for the year, Brian Thomas Jr is banged up with a chest injury and now their defence has to try and stop Saquon Barkley after giving up 127 yards and two TDs to Josh Jacobs.
Big Saquon game coming up here.
Philly to cover.
My Bets
- Philadelphia Eagles -7.5 @ $1.90
- Saquon Barkley 80+ Rushing Yards
- Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown
The bookies cannot split these two teams, lets see what I can do.
All though they last on the last play of the game last week, Chicago did not deserve to even come close against the Commies.
Caleb was a dud through three quarters in what turned out to be a come back to earth game.
Arizona on the other hand have been as hot and cold as a microwave lunch.
They barely scraped in against the Dolphins last week but a 300 yard game for Kyler has me feeling NICEY (go watch Coach Gruden’s tiktoks if you don’t know the reference).
This game all comes down to watch version of Caleb Williams we get, he was rough off the bye last week, hopefully he learns from that and continues to progress.
Pray for a shootout.
Hard choice here… I think I lean towards the QB who made a name for himself at Oklahoma.
Shit
Bears for me.
My Bets
- Chicago Bears H2H @ $1.90
- Caleb Williams 250+ Passing Yards
- Kyler Murray 250+ Passing Yards
- D’Andre Swift Anytime Touchdown
- Marvin Harrison Jr Anytime Touchdown
A refreshed LA Rams shocked a lot of people when they came away with a TNF win last week against the Vikings.
And the Seahawks shocked a lot of Neds NFL Tipster that writes these specific blog previews when they couldn’t come close to the Bills last week.
Hindsight is a son of a bitch and not having DK Metcalf is such a huge out for Seattle and the Seahawk’s are yet to say if he’ll play in Week 9 just yet.
Another one to monitor but with Kupp, Puka and Kyren Williams on the field, you can’t ignore the Rams.
My Bets
- Los Angeles Rams H2H @ $1.80
- Puka Nacua 70+ Receiving Yards
- Kyren Williams Anytime Touchdown
Drink everytime I say “one to monitor” (but don’t drink and gamble at the same time please).
This game is once again……………….. one to monitor!
Jordan Love is nursing a groin strain this week after he had to exit the game against the Jags and at the time of writing, we don’t know if he’ll suit up.
I’m not sure if it matters though, the Lions of Detroit fame could quite possibly be the best team in football at the moment and will be ready to put on another show this week after dismantling the Titans.
Amon-Ra St Brown only saw two targets last week, one was a TD but that’s not a pattern I see continue.
I’m with the Sun God for a big game.
My Bets
- Detroit Lions -3.5 @ $1.94
- Amon-Ra St. Brown 70+ Receiving Yards
- Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime Touchdown
Colts have benched Anthony Richardson, don’t try to make sense of it. I can’t either.
The man’s been a starting QB for less games than some of the prospects coming through the draft this year.
It’s clear he’s a develpoment project but just like the lego sets in my apartment, they’ve given up before they finished.
The Vikings were done dirty last week by the refs and I see a world where they don’t let the refs come close to interfering with the result here.
Flacco is a better QB than AR at this point in time but I think the Vikings run up the score in this one.
I’m doing my best Justin Jefferson griddy while writing this, get on JJettas with me.
My Bets
- Minnesota Vikings -5.5 @ $1.90
- Justin Jefferson 80+ Receiving Yards
- Justin Jefferson Anytime Touchdown
It was closer than I anticipated last week, but KC are still undefeated.
On MNF this week they get a Tampa side going through an identity crisis, losing your two top dawg receivers will do that to a football team.
All though they took an L last week, Baker still slung that mfing ball and Cade Otton was the main recipient.
The Bucs could come close here, yes the Chiefs are undefeated but the Raiders gave them a run for their money and I rate Tampa a lot higher than Vegas.
Jalen McMillan breakout game incoming, that’s my hot tip.
My Bets
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers +9 @ $1.90
- Jalen McMillan 60+ Receiving Yards
- Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown
This is the one this week punters

- Runningback: Breece Hall 60+ Rushing Yards ✓

- Quarterback: Jayden Daniels Over 250+ Passing Yards
- Runningback: Saquon Barkley 60+ Rushing Yards
- Runningback: James Cook 60+ Rushing Yards
- Wide Receiver: DJ Moore 60+ Receiving Yards
- Wide Receiver: CeeDee Lamb 60+ Receiving Yards
