Zipping Classic
Known as the Sandown Classic for many years, The Zipping Classic is one of the main races to close out the Spring Racing Carnival.

A good lead in for this race is the Melbourne Cup. Since the Zipping Classic is one of the last races of the season to offer a good prize purse at a long distance, it can often been seen as one of the last chances for a horse to make a nice little bonus before year’s end.

Which Horse Will Win The Zipping Classic

The best way to pick who will win the Zipping Classic is to take into account the form, assess the barriers, consider the weight the horse will carry, among other factors.

Additional factors to take into considerations are as follows:

  • Long distance – This race favours horses that have experience running over a mile and a half.
  • Melbourne Cup – This race can be seen as easy pickings for horses that did well in the ‘race that stops a nation’ the week prior.
  • Conservative Odds – It’s been over  a decade since a horse who was paying $10 or more on race day was first over the line.
