Inglis Sires’ 2026 Tips
Our insider 2026 Inglis Sires’ tips will be detailed here the week of the race and a full betting preview published on the Neds Blog.

The Inglis Sires’ – also known as the ATC Sires’ Produce Stakes – is a Group 1 race for two-year-olds held at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Day 1 of Sydney’s ‘The Championships’ each April.
One of the biggest days of the Sydney Autumn Racing Carnival, the meeting is host to four Group 1 events led by the Doncaster Mile and also including the Inglis Sires’.
The set weights clash has been run and won since 1867 and currently forms the second leg of the coveted “Triple Crown” series of races for juveniles in the autumn. The opening leg is the iconic Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes (1200m), with the treble rounded out by the Group 1 Champagne Stakes (1600m) over a mile.
Only five horses have taken out the “Triple Crown” with Pierro (2012) the most recent to win all three events during their two-year-old season.
Fireburn (2022) meanwhile was the last two year-year-old to complete the Golden Slipper – Inglis Sires’ double.
More recently She’s Extreme turned the stables on the 2022 Inglis Sires’ winner Fireburn when she went on to beat her home and win the Champagne Stakes next start in a reverse of the quinella. She’s Extreme further franked the 2022 Inglis Sires’ form with a huge spring that finished with a Group 1 VRC Oaks (2500m) win at Flemington over the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
The Inglis Sires’ – Champagne Stakes double was last completed by Militarize (2023) who also went on to win that year’s Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes (1400m).
In 2024 the sole filly in the race, Manaal, won on the back of a lead-up Golden Slipper fifth.
In 2026, Campione D’italia won the Inglis Sires’ on the back of a lead-up fourth in the Golden Slipper.
