Neds’ Friday Best Bets have landed as we look to find a few winners on Newcastle Gold Cup Day!
SATIN SERENADE (3) should get a lovely sit off the speed under Tommy Berry back from a bit of a spell.
The daughter to Frankel has placed in two starts to date at Canterbury and Warwick Farm and has since been given a nice soft trial between starts.
The form from her previous races has held up well and she looks the clear on top pick here in a field lacking a bit of depth.

PERFUMIST (5) has trialled up nicely ahead of her return in the Tibbie Stakes.
She won quite well in her latest heat at Warwick Farm over some good horses and is looking to build on a last-start win at Wellington to wrap up her autumn prep.
Bjorn Baker’s mare gets the winkers off again and typically does some of her best racing first-up with equally good form to her name over 1400m.

MR MILLER (12) is in red-hot form and appears incredibly hard to beat with his sights on a hat-trick.
The wide gate complicates things a little, but he won’t know himself stripping right back to 54kg after obliterating his rivals by a combined 5.5 lengths.
This is tougher again up to Group 3 level, but it looks the next step for him as he continues his rise through the grades.

HOLLYWOOD GOLD (3) has come up trumps with the inside gate and the apprentice claim in effect.
He’s been around the mark in two recent runs at Newcastle and Moree, given a three-week break leading into his latest where he over-raced a little on his way to finishing sixth.
This step up in trip though should suit given he was up sharply to 1400m last time out, and with a win to his name already over 1500m, there’s every chance he gives this a real shake.
