Punters need to take OH DIAMOND LIL (1) on trust, as her recent form hasn’t been up to her usual standard. However, when she’s on her game, she’ll take a power of beating.

The 6YO mare has seven wins from 21 starts, so her record is outstanding, and she won her only previous start at Newcastle. Returning to this track could be enough for her best form to return, and provincial circuits suit her racing pattern.

She will look to settle on the speed and kick at the top of the straight. If she gets a soft enough lead, we don’t think they’ll catch her, and there is solid market confidence. It’s enough for us to include her in Tibbie Stakes predictions, and she could firm to around $3.20 close to start time.

After opening at $7, there hasn’t been much betting support for POLYMNIA (5). However, she often runs a good race first-up with four starts for three placings, and she could be one of the runners finishing strongly.

The 5YO mare is one of the best one-race winners in recent history, and she deserves another win after posting 11 placings. Most of her form has come behind smart types, including Machine Gun Gracie and Private Legacy.

Having Zac Lloyd riding adds some intrigue, and if he gets her into the race nice and early before the turn, she is good enough to finish over the top of them. Therefore, the $9 odds are worth including in Tibbie Stakes tips for a bit of value.

$17 for a runner coming off a second placing behind Modella is a good price. MRS MAREE (14) defeated many of her rivals here, and she hasn’t run a bad race for some time.

The 5YO has three wins and five placings from 11 starts, and despite drawing wide in barrier 14, she often heads forward and looks to sit near the pace. That could be the winning of the race, especially if they don’t go quickly up front.

We rated her at around $9, so punters get almost double that price. She is an excellent option to include in picks to boost payouts.
