Jayden Daniels suffers that elbow injury, Jaxson Dart is out for the season and plenty has been said about Caleb Williams and his hamstring (plenty I disagree with too but that’s a story for another day).
Week 3 rolls on through and we’re slowly starting to get a feel for how all 32 teams are going to look this year.
If you’ve read my previews in previous years you’d know that I feel like we don’t really get the lay of the land until we’ve seen four games but we are indeed getting there.
There is some great matchups this week and I’m keen to talk about them with you mob.

The Packers have not quite fired on all cylinders yet to start the year but a favourable matchup against a really poor ATL is here for them on TNF.
It’s Michael Penix’s season debut here and we will soon find out if he is the answer for Atlanta’s offensive woes.
Anyone not named Bijan Robinson in this Falcons team is a genuine crapshoot and quite frankly the Packers’ target share is a mess too.
Surely GB cover this 5 point line, I also think Christian Watson should see plenty of pass volume.
It’s an AFC North showdown early on Monday morning that I’m tipping should be fairly one sided.
The Steelers cannot get the ball moving and the Bengals defence looks re tooled and maybe the best defence Joe Burrow has ever had.
Joey B and the boys have been a bit slow out of the gates but the great man will continue to improve with more centre wicket practice. I’m tipping a comfortable win against Aaron Rodgers and co here.
The Jets kept it close last week, Detroit got blown out by the Bills but I’m with a bounce back from Detroit here.
Gibbs is obviously seeing heavy usage, I really like how much Sam LaPorta is getting involved and what hasn’t already been said about Amon-Ra St Brown.
There’s plenty of options in Detroit and I think they dismantle a NY team that is better than I anticipated to be fair.
No Jaxson Dart and Cam Ward is coming off a decent showing last week. This shapes up to look value for the Titans.
Jameis, god love him, was awful last week and I don’t know if a week of first team reps is going to fix that. The Giants could not do anything after Dart left that game on MNF and I can’t imagine they can rally in under a week to beat a very bad Titans team.

Sorry, he’s just been very good at football over the first two weeks and Justin Herbert has not been.
It’s hard to see where the Chargers will get their first win of the year, quite frankly. It’s not happening against Buffalo.
Josh Allen is playing at an MVP level and is pinching TDs off James Cook.
I believe we see another massive day for Allen here, atleast one rushing TD and hell, let’s take Kincaid for a receiving touchdown.
The Commies will be without Daniels this week and that’s not a good sign for their hopes against the reigning Super Bowl Champions who look like they will be getting Sam Darnold back this week as well.
The Seahawks are very short for a reason, I’m think I just want to take JSN for 100 yards and a TD and move on with my life.
Don’t give this game too much thought.
The world is starting to wake up to what I’ve been saying since 2023. Bryce Young is that man and we have seen it through two weeks of NFL football.
2nd in the league in passing yards, 3 TDs in both games. This man was worth the first overall pick, he is a franchise QB and now he gets to beat up on the Browns.
Once again I’m all in on Bryce, I like his overs, I like the Panthers 14+. The Browns were ok last week in a win but Carolina are rolling baby.
Beautiful Bryce Young has cured my depression.
It’s KC’s turn to beat up on Miami and boy oh boy if the Chiefs continue to improve as they have. This game could get ugly very quickly.
Mahomes threw for almost 400 last week which I don’t think he will be required to do here. I’m leaning more towards a Ken Walker day, we’ll be taking him for 100 rushing yards.
Through the first two weeks it’s looked like Kelce is back to being Mahomes’ number 1 receiver however I think Rashee will slowly eat into that so I will be having a play on them in the combo market.
Chiefs 14+
Two 0-2 teams will do battle here early on Monday morning, we will finally see one of these sides in the winner’s circle.
Correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like the Colts have improved week on week despite losing both games. They took the Chiefs to OT that has to mean something right?
Everyone talks about how good the Texans defence is but I’m not confident Stroud can get this offense moving.
The Texans are going to struggle to contain Jonathan Taylor and now that Alec Pierce is out, I like Tyler Warren to get a lot of opportunity.
The Jags fell back to earth last week but honestly New England didn’t show me a truckload to feel inspired last week either despite picking up the win.
Christian Gonzales will be guarding either Parker Washington or Brian Thomas Jr in this matchup and I feel like whoever is not being guarded by the best corner in the league is going to have a day.
I think we saw the beginning of TreVeyon Henderson taking over this backfield in New England too. Rhamondre Stevenson continues to show ball security issues just like he has his entire career and Hendo is a home run hitter. I think he sees paydirt in this one.
Jags cover this 3 point line for me, Trevor Lawrence looks to really be coming into his own.
Kyler Murray returns after a sickening week 1 headknock and Baker is just here and not playing too well tbh.
The Vikings are well deserved favourites in this one and I’m genuinely excited to see how Kyler and Jefferson finally link up.
It was an ugly win last week against Chicago in a wet and wild game that had 0 touchdowns. That won’t be the case here. The Vikings will want to get Jefferson his touches and Kyler will want to get some throws under his belt. I think the Vikings should air that mamma jamma out.
The 49ers are humming and look like a genuine threat in the NFC, this is a big battle in the NFC West but I’m not sure that the Cards will be up for it.
There’s so much in the news about their under utilisation of Marvin Harrison Jr. With Marv’s line at 29.5, I think I have to have a flirt at it.
CMC at 56.5 rushing yards looks too good to be true as well. That’s where I’m looking here.
It’s looking like Zay Flowers will be back for Baltimore and they need him after a rough loss last week to the Saints.
The Cowboys returned to form last week as expected this game should be fantastic, not to mention it’s being played in Brazil.
If Flowers plays I’m happy to take the Ravens to cover however being this far out and still not knowing. I think I’ll back the overs.
CeeDee looked great last week lets get him for a TD and Derrick Henry for 100 yards too.
I might’ve been wrong about both these sides, the Saints looked great last week and the Raiders are 2-0.
I’m not interested in backing the Saints though, it looks like Bowers will return, Kirko is slinging it and I love Ashton Jeanty.
There is a lot here to sway me into tipping a Raiders upset and I am whole hog in baby.
Bowers for a monster return? Why not.
Both these teams looked great last week this should be a fantastic game.
Can I be so real with you here? I don’t want to tip a winner I just want the overs and to enjoy a good game. The Broncs could win this easy but I don’t want it spoiled for me if Stafford and co come out and sling it.
45 points is nothing for these two offenses either, give me overs and give me Waddle and how about a Blake Corum touchdown.
Man, I don’t want to watch this game. No Caleb and it looks like his backup Tyler Bagent is going to be out as well. The Bears will be trotting out Case Keenum to do battle with Jalen Hurts and while the Eagles did look beatable last week, I can’t imagine Chicago keep up with them without Caleb at QB.
