The run home is getting serious now, and Game Week 33 has a bit of everything, title pressure, relegation scraps, and a few markets that look well worth taking on.
The Bees look to extend a run of five straight league fixtures without defeat (1W,4D), while also breaking a run of four straight draws when they welcome Fulham to the Brentford Community Stadium.
The Cottagers are three points behind the Bees in the league standings, but have been poor on their travels this season, winning just four of 16 road fixtures (3D,9L).
Alternatively, the Bees have lost just three games at home this season (7W,6D), although their last home win was in early January (3D,2L).
Evenly matched contest, both teams aren’t feeling themselves at the minute, let’s split the points.
Leeds can take a massive step towards survival with a victory at home against the Championship bound Wolves.
Leeds are unbeaten in three league fixtures, and are floating on cloud nine follow a huge 2-1 victory over the in-form Red Devils last weekend.
Meanwhile, the Wolves sulk into this game off the back of a heavy 4-0 defeat against the relegation threatened Hammers.
Leeds won the reverse fixture in Wolverhampton 3-1, and I’m predicting a similar scoreline here.
The Cherries enter this fixture on a lazy 12-game unbeaten run in the league (5W,7D), most recently handing the Gunners their 2nd home defeat of the season.
Meanwhile, the Toon are languishing in 14th place on the table, losing seven of their last 10 PL games!
I’m backing Bournemouth to come away with at least one competition point here.
Fulham
The Spurs are going down!
Tottenham are still without a win this calendar year, and are now justifiably sitting inside the relegation zone, two points from safety.
Alternatively, the Seagulls have won their last three games, and five of their last six in the league (1L), leaving themselves two points behind Chelsea in 6th.
$2.40 on the nose against the worst team in the comp since the new year, yes please.
The Blues hit Man United in a game which could have large implications on European qualification.
The Red Devils have slowed their roll heading into the final straight of the season, dropping points in three of their last four games (1W,1D,2L).
While, Chelsea has won once across their last seven PL fixtures (2D,4L), and have lost five of their last six games in all comps.
I think both sides will be defensively vulnerable in this contest, and will be taking both sides to score, combined with the overs.
Form goes out the window in rivalries, but this could be one of the closest Merseyside Derby in some time.
The Toffees are gunning hard for European football, sitting just three places and three points adrift of their cross town rivals in 5th.
Both sides have identical form across their last 15 league fixtures (6W,5D,4L), though, Everton nudge the Reds across the five most recent fixtures, picking up the 4th most points in the league (3W,1D,1L).
Liverpool enter this game off the back of a heartbreaking mid-week loss and elimination from the UCL, while also losing star forward Ekitike to injury.
I like the Toffees at the odds.
Forest look to go five games without defeat (1W,3D) and distance them further from the drop zone, with a win against relegation certainty, Burnley.
The Clarets are now winless in seven games across all competitions (2D,5L), and have failed to score in three of their last four league fixtures.
Let’s take the Tricky Trees to win at home in a low-scoring affair.
The Black Cats are searching for their third straight league win, and a fourth victory in five starts (1L), when they travel to Villa Park this weekend.
They’ll face a Vill a outfit who are unbeaten in two league games (1D,1L), and hold a 10-2-4 record at home this season.
Road wins have been hard to come by for Sunderland this season, with just four wins from 16 games (5D,7L), although their last two away games ended in victory.
Villa has a Thursday morning fixture against Bologna to contend with, as such I’m backing Sunderland to steal a point on their travels.
Match o f the season is set to be contested at the Etihad Stadium, when Man City host Arsenal in a game that could and should decide the title.
The Gunners are beginning to sweat in the run home, they blew an opportunity to mover 12 points clear of City at the start of GW32, instead losing to the Cherries at home before the Sky Blues dominated Chelsea on the road, dwindling the gap between themselves and Arsenal to six points with a game in hand.
The Citizens defeated Arsenal 2-0 a few weeks back in the EFL Final, striking the first mental blow, before then Gunners then went on to lose against the Saints in the FA Cup.
The last two league fixtures between this pair at the Etihad finished as draws, with Man City winning the seven games prior.
The Gunners seem spooked, their fans are going deathly quiet for their standards, their manager is losing his marble, and I think they’re going to bottle this opportunity.
Finally, Palace host the Hammers in the final game of the round, with the Irons still scrambling to save their skins this season.
Both London outfits have found a bit of form of late, the Eagles have lost once across their last 10 games in all comps (6W,3D), while, the Hammers have lost one of their last eight league games (3W,4D).
The fixtures are beginning to pile up for the Eagles, who will be traveling to Italy to take on Florentina ahead of this game.
With fresher legs, and everything to play for, I’m going to edge towards the Irons taking all three points on the road.
