After 18 months of buildup and eight incredible matches across the country, the 2025 British and Irish Lions tour will come to a close this weekend in the third and final test match with the Wallabies fighting to avoid a series sweep.
We all saw how it played on Saturday and regardless of your belief, the Wallabies never should have lost that game.
However the Lions showed their class to come back from 23-5 down to get the result in an incredibly thrilling game of rugby.
But this week, it’s the classic tale of which team will be up for it mentally.
The Lions have won the series and have been celebrating, will they come in underdone or is it the opposite, the drive to win a series 3-0 for the first time since 1904.
The Wallabies will they have the emotional strength to get up and go again after how it all unfolded in the Second Test, but you would think the motivation to show a nation what could have been and continue to show why they are on the way back as a test nation to be feared.
Here’s my best plays for the Third Test:
- Australia +7.5 @ $1.90 – Amongst the tough defeats, the Wallabies have been a covering machine and I’ll back them to do the same again this weekend.
- Total Points Over 47.5 @ $1.90 – Expecting the flood gates to open this week and a points shootout so I’ll take the over
- Australia to Win by 1-12 @ $4.20 – This play broke my heart last week, but I’ll back the Wallabies to deliver this week and secure the 2-1 result.
- Huw Jones Anytime Try – Arguably the best player on tour for the Lions and scoring tries for fun so I’ll back the trend to continue.
- Joesph Suaalii Anytime Try – To be fair, He’s been willing all series, and I think he gets one this weekend in Sydney.
