The regular season is winding up, the fantasy football playoffs are here.
It’s a fascinating slate of games over this festive period with bonus games on Sunday morning our time.
I’ve run my eyes over every game and here’s what I like for Week 16 of the NFL season.
Two teams that have surprised me a lot this season, these AFC West sides are in the hunt for a wildcard spot and a win for either one would do wonders for their post season campaign.
The Broncos look a bit of value here, I’m not going to lie, undefeated in their last five hitouts and are one of the better looking underdogs you’ll see.
Justin Herbert has been limited at training with an ankle injury but will play, I think this Broncos defence eats him alive.
My Bets
- Denver Broncos H2H @ $2.20
- Courtland Sutton 75+ Receiving yards
- Courtland Sutton Anytime Touchdown Scorer
We’ve got some Sunday games this week punters and there is .
The Chiefs secured their first 14+ win of the season last week and it couldn’t have come at a better time as we inch towards the playoffs.
Meanwhile the Texans are limping towards the end of 2024, they’re quite fortunate their division is incredibly bad however I don’t think they will do much come post season.
We’re getting sidetracked, back to the game at hand and I’m with the Chiefs to cover the three point line.
KC are still one of the best teams in the league and I don’t think this year’s version of Houston will be able to keep up, even with an injury cloud over Mahomes.
My Bets
- Kansas City Chiefs -3.5 @ $1.94
- Isiah Pacheco 60+ Rushing Yards
- Isiah Pacheco Anytime Touchdown Scorer
7:30am Sunday we have our second game of the double header, this one is a very spicy AFC North clash.
Lamar Jackson looks determined to take it deep into the post season this year, we saw that last week with his five TD game.
It will be a challenge against this Pittsburgh defence but I’m in agreeance with the bookies, the $1.35 Ravens is where I lean.
It’s a short line for such a short priced favourite. Im a big fan of the Ravens -6.
My Bets
- Baltimore Ravens -6 @ $1.90
- Lamar Jackson 250+ Passing Yards
- Derrick Henry Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Speaking of AFC North clashes, we have another one to kickstart our slate of Monday games, but this will likely be significantly one sided.
The Browns have fallen off a cliff, benching Jameis for DTR last week shows you just how hard the mighty have truly fallen.
Despite their win last week, Bengals QB Joe Burrow was not happy with the offensive output.
You just get Bengals 14+ vibes from this game.
Joey B wants to go out and make a statement against a divisional rival and they have the tools to do just that.
My Bets
- Cincinnati Bengals 14+ @ $2.35
- Joe Burrow 300+ Passing Yards
- Joe Burrow 3+ Passing Touchdowns
A week ago, you’d say the Rams have their way with the Jets here but the Jags might’ve played them back into form.
It’s a nightmare of betting line to pick this one.
The Rams should dominate and that’s where I lead but if that version of the Jets that played last week rocks up and I could be eating my words very quickly.
I’m going to stick with the Rams and Puka to dominate, they are far too good on their day and should decimate the 4-11 Jets.
My Bets
- Los Angeles Rams -3.5 @ $1.90
- Puka Nacua 80+ Receiving Yards
- Puka Nacua Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Michael Penis Jr (yes I know that’s not his actual name) makes his first ever NFL start and I reckon he played college teams back at Washington that would’ve been harder to carve up than this Giants team.
Let’s back the lefty for a big game, it’s honestly not hard against NY.
My Bets
- Atlanta Falcons +14 @ $2.30
- Michael Penix Jr 225+ Passing Yards
- Drake London Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Backing the Panthers hasn’t gone well for me so far this year and I kind of feel like this is a super winnable game for Bryce and the boys.
They crashed back to earth last week but once again continued to show flashes of promise.
Given how shot to bits Arizona have looked of late, I think Brycey boy could really shred here.
It’s a 4 point line, if you’re not willing to back the Panthers outright like me, please consider them to cover.
My Bets
- Carolina Panthers H2H @ $2.80
- Bryce Young 250+ Passing Yards
- Bryce Young 2+ Passing Touchdowns
It’s Detroit’s turn to put 14+ on Chicago and that’s exactly what I see happening.
Caleb’s O-Line is a turnstile and you can’t do much when you’re sacked as much as the first overall pick has been this year.
Detroit will eat hime alive.
My Bets
- Detroit Lions 14+ @ $2.60
- Jared Goff 275+ Passing Yards
- Sam LaPorta Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Don’t watch this game, avoid it like the plague.
Nothing about this game interests, intrigues or excites me.
Is it because I’ve been a big hater of the Colts? Or because the Titans suck?
I don’t know and quite frankly, I don’t want to know. It’s knowledge I can do without.
Colts to cover.
My Bets
- Indianapolis Colts -3.5 @ $1.90
- Jonathan Taylor 60+ Rushing Yards
- Anthony Richardson Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The winner of this one more than likely wraps up the NFC East and a few weeks ago you’d argue it would be close.
Right now, I think the Eagles run away with it.
The Commies were incredibly close to losing to the Saints who used a real zesty QB to start the game and then benched him for a Netflix tv star.
Doesn’t really fill you with confidence heading into a matchup with Saquon and the boys does it.
The bookies have reacted too.
The Eagles are 3.5 point favourites and honestly, it could blow out way worse if Philly proper show up.
My Bets
- Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 @ $1.90
- Saquon Barkley 100+ Rushing Yards
- Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown
Tell you what, the Vikings are sneaky good this year.
12-2 just as good as the likes of Detroit and Philadelphia. This matchup looks too easy for them as well just quietly.
The QB situation for Seattle is one to monitor here, Geno has an injury cloud over him and if he doesn’t play. Seattle are no chance.
My Bets
- Minnesota Vikings -3 @ $1.90
- Justin Jefferson 100+ Receiving Yards
- Aaron Jones Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Just like that Colts v Titans game.
Give this one a miss.
Two days before Christmas, 7:30am.
Go do a coffee run for your extended family who are no doubt doing your head in.
You’re not going to miss anything here and if you back Brian Thomas Jr for a big game.
The coffees might be on us.
My Bets
- Jacksonville Jaguars H2H @ $1.94
- Brian Thomas Jr 80+ Receiving
- Brian Thomas Jr Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Josh Allen for 6,000,000 Passing Yards here.
This could be the game he wraps up the MVP, I don’t believe the Patriots will have an answer for Allen who looks the best QB on the planet right now.
The $1.09 price for Buffalo probably says all you need to know about this game.
Sorry Pats fans.
My Bets
- Buffalo Bills 14+ @ $1.65
- Josh Allen 300+ Passing Yards
- James Cook Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Very winnable matchup for the Dolphins here.
Tua’s CTE demon has been running amok these last few weeks but the 49ers look shot to bits and Deebo has stone hands.
This should be a game that Miami can get in front and ride the likes of De’Von Achane into a couple kneel downs at the end of the game.
The Dolphins have been disappointing this year but I think we should see the flashes of their potential here.
My Bets
- Miami Dolphins H2H @ $1.82
- Tua Tagovailoa 275+ Passing Yards
- DeVon Achane Anytime Touchdown Scorer
A rare win for the Cowboys last week against Carolina but this week they have to try and shut down Baker Mayfield and between you and me.
I don’t think they will be able to.
Everytime Baker balls out, I laugh that the Browns let him go and he certainly looks at home in Tampa.
Mike Evans needs about 250 yards before the seasons end to tick over 1000+ receiving and keep his streak alive.
I think the boys know that and I expect Evans to see a lot of ball in this one.
My Bets
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4 @ $1.90
- Mike Evans 80+ Receiving Yards
- Mike Evans Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Christmas Eve Australia time we will be treated to a Green Bay 14+ performance.
The Saints are only going backwards, even though they came close to beating the Commies last week.
This Packers team is a different animal and I like them to run up the score here.
It’s a 13.5 point line, guess what side of that I’m on.
My Bets
- Green Bay Packers -13.5 @ $1.90
- Josh Jacobs 75+ Rushing Yards
- Romeo Doubs Anytime Touchdown Scorer
