The mid week point of the 2024 NFL Season is rapidly approaching and I’m running out of ways to complain about the injury toll.
There are some very exciting storylines heading into Week 7. Davantae Adams is reuniting with his boy Aaron Rodgers in New York and Amari Cooper has been freed of Deshaun Watson and the Browns, he’s off to Buffalo to play with Josh Allen.
There’s plenty to look forward to in Week 7.
I’ve got you covered for tips, here’s where I’ve landed for each game.
It’s a pretty rough primetime game this week if I’m being honest.
Spencer Rattler v Bo Nix is not high on my list of matchups that I pencilled in when the schedule came out at the start of the year.
It doesn’t matter though, we’re here to find some winners and the Saints will need to lean on fantasy football darling Alvin Kamara if they want to get a win over the Broncos.
The Saints have not showed much since their little hot streak to start the year so I’m not confident they can get it done here and the Bo Nix/ Courtland Sutton connection has been relatively serviceable this season. Sutton is averaging 7.5 targets per game this year and he’s who I’m taking a piece of in this game.
My Bets
- Denver Broncos -2.5 @ $1.90
- Courtland Sutton 45+ Receiving Yards @ $1.77
- Alvin Kamara Anytime Touchdown @ $1.94
It’s and all England showdown at Wembley for game three of the Euro tour.
The Jaguars who basically have a residency in the UK take on the New ENGLAND Patriots (see what I did there?).
The Jags need a win plain and simple here, you’d imagine that another loss could see Doug Pederson’s passport revoked and even worse, his coaching tenure in Jacksonville could be up.
While Drake Maye and the Pats showed flashes last week, I’m not quite sure if they have enough in the tank even to beat this 1-5 Jags team. Jacksonville have all the firepower they need to win, they’re just severely discombobulated and are yet to fully fire.
Despite a 14+ point loss to the Bears last week, the Jaguars had four dropped touchdown passes. That shows me that they clearly have enough to win, they just didn’t show up last week.
I can’t see a professional NFL team doing that two weeks in a row, I’m with the Jags.
My Bets
- Jacksonville Jaguars -5.5 @ $1.90
- Brian Thomas Jr 60+ Receiving Yards
- Brian Thomas Jr Anytime Touchdown Scorer
4-2 gets you the top seeded spot in majority of the divisions this year in the NFL. That is NOT the case in the NFC North.
Despite being 4-2 the Packers currently sit 4th in their division and they need every win they can get this year.
Even though the Texans are 5-1, they’re currently $2.25 underdogs which just screams value to me. While GB should really test the Texans, I’m leaning towards the “underdogs” here.
My Bets
- Houston Texans H2H @ $2.25
- Tank Dell 60+ Receiving Yards
- Joe Mixon Anytime Touchdown
Tua will not be available for the Dolphins in Week 7 so it looks like Tyler Huntley will be starting for the Dolphins once again.
All signs point to Anthony Richardson starting for the Colts however and they start the week as $1.57 favourites.
Miami have absolutley no go forward without Tua and they could quite possibly be without De’Von Achane as well who is still a big question mark due to concussion.
Their is just nothing at all that gets me excited for this game, which means a play on the unders is where I’m leaning.
My Bets
- Under 44 Points @ $1.90
- Michael Pittman TD Scorer
BIRD BOWL BIRD BOWL BIRD BOWL.
Our avian friends the Falcons and Seahawks will do battle in the early Monday morning slate and this is one of the matchups I’m looking forward to this week.
Both these sides have some very exciting offenses, Seattle’s just need to iron out a few wrinkles and they could very easily come away with an upset here.
I’m leaning towards a Seattle win here, the Falcons thumping of Carolina looks like fools gold to me last week. Everyone is beating up on the Panthers this year and even though the Seahawks lost to San Fran last week, I think this matchup favours a Geno/DK Metcalf clinic quite nicely.
My Bets
- Seattle Seahawks H2H @ $2.35
- DK Metcalf 75+ Receiving Yards
- DK Metcalf Anytime Touchdown
A deadset shame this games in the early slot for us Aussie’s this could very easily be the game of the round.
NFC North wins look to be incredibly crucial this year and the undefeated Vikings will look to secure another one here in a tough matchup with Detroit.
The Vikings are currently betting favourites but I cannot split these two sides. Both have been firing on all cylinders this year and I’m opting for a play on the overs rather than a winner.
I hope both teams win.
My Bets
- Over 50.5 Total Points @ $1.90
- Jared Goff 275+ Passing Yards
- Justin Jefferson Anytime Touchdown
- David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown
It’s Saquon’s first revenge game.
The Philly RB returns to play the organisation that drafted him back in 2018 and I’m fairly confident Barkley will do something he didn’t do much of with the Giants. Win at Metlife Stadium.
Philly seem to be back on track, they’ve got all their weapons back from injury and even though the Giants defence has been one of the best in the league. They are still hamstrung by Daniel Jones and I think that will still limit how many points they can score.
You’ve got to back Saquon for the storyline.
My Bets
- Philadelphia Eagles -3 @ $1.90
- Saquon Barkley Anytime Touchdown
- Saquon Barkley 80+ Rushing Yards
It’s Buffalo’s turn to beat up on the Titans and this is a comfortable 14+ hit for me here.
Nothing about the Titans fills me with any hope of resistance here and even though the Bills have been hot and cold so far this season.
They should put a team like the Titans away comfortably.
My Bets
- Buffalo Bills 14+ @ $2.20
- James Cook 60+ Rushing Yards
- Josh Allen Anytime Touchdown
Boy oh boy, it’s looking like Nick Chubb will finally return for Cleveland but he will be the only offensive weapon the Browns possess for this game.
Cleveland are big underdogs heading into this AFC North clash and it’s hard to make a case for them putting up any resistance and I refuse to.
There’s been more lows than highs for Cincy this year but a tune up game against the Browns might be just what the doctor ordered.
My Bets
- Cincinnati Bengals 14+ @ $3.00
- Ja’Marr Chase 80+ Rushing Yards
- Ja’Marr Chase Anytime Touchdown
Jayden Daniels and the Commanders are suddenly must watch football and they get their chance to really twist the knife in this week against a dismal, desolate wasteland of a team that is Carolina.
All reports suggest Andy Dalton is still the starter but I can’t see him offering up much resistance to this Washington team.
The former laughing stock of the league is now humming and I can see the Commies covering this 8 point line comfortably.
My Bets
- Washington Commanders -8 @ $1.90
- Terry McLaurin 60+ Receiving Yards
- Jayden Daniels Anytime Touchdown
Cooper Kupp is trending in the right direction to return from injury and the Raiders are trending in the right direction to be relegated.
There is nothing good happening in Vegas right now and the Rams should win this one comfortably. Despite LA not looking the best so far this season. Vegas have looked worse and without Davantae Adams now for the rest of the year, it’s hard to tell if anyone will actually step up and move the chains for LV.
My Bets
- Los Angeles Rams -6.5 @ $1.87
- Cooper Kupp 75+ Receiving Yards
- Kyren Williams Anytime Touchdown
We’ve got ourselves a Super Bowl replay and even though the bookies have the Chiefs as underdogs. That’s the side of the head to head market I’m willing to back.
KC are down a few men due to injury but they’re fresh off the bye and have had an extra week to prepare for this game. We could very easily see an Andy Reid masterclass here and I believe that rookie WR Xavier Worthy will be the one that benefits in this game.
Worthy has Bradbury’d his way to the Chiefs WR1 spot and should be heavily involved here.
My Bets
- Kansas City Chiefs H2H @ $2.00
- Xavier Worthy 60+ Receiving Yards
- Xavier Worthy Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Despite leading the team to a great start to 2024, Justin Fields has been benched by the Steelers and Russel Wilson will make his Steelers debut in this primetime fixture.
What a stinker of a prime time game we’re getting here, I’m not looking forward to it at all.
Davantae Adams will debut for the Jets here and if I know Aaron Rodgers and Adams, we should see a lot of targets thrown his way.
My Bets
- Over 38 Total Points @ $1.90
- Davantae Adams 75+ Receiving Yards
- Davantae Adams Anytime Touchdown
Looking forward to this one a lot.
Lamar v Baker we should have a cracking game here on MNF, can the Buccs hang with the Ravens though? They have been red hot to start the year but Baker’s turnovers last week lead me to believe that even they are a good team. The Ravens will probably be too good.
Lamar is having another MVP calibre season so far and should put some big points on the Buccs in this one.
My Bets
- Baltimore Ravens H2H @ $1.55
- Derrick Henry 60+ Rushing Yards
- Lamar Jackson Anytime Touchdown
We’ve got two games on MNF this week and your guess as to who suits up for this one is as good as mine.
Marvin Harrison Jr is dealing with concussion and is in doubt to play meanwhile Justin Herbert is walking wounded with an ankle injury that is clearly still giving him grief.
It may be too much of an uphill battle for the Cardinals if MHJ doesn’t play, keep an eye out for any news that rolls through.
The Chargers seem to be the play here at $1.68, you’d imagine that will only fall if anymore news about the Cardinal’s rookie wr comes out.
My Bets
- Los Angeles Chargers H2H @ $1.55
- Michaels Wilson 45+ Receiving Yards
- Kimani Vidal Anytime Touchdown
We’re going to hit one, I promise and it’s starting this week.
Just to recap in Week 6 we had:
- Quarterback: Kirk Cousins Over 250+ Passing Yards X
- Runningback: Derrick Henry 60+ Rushing Yards ✓
- Runningback: Saquon Barkley 60+ Rushing Yards X
- Wide Receiver: CeeDee Lamb 60+ Receiving Yards ✓
- Wide Receiver: DJ Moore 60+ Receiving Yards X
Week 7’s Fantasy team looks like this:
- Quarterback: Jayden Daniels Over 250+ Passing Yards
- Runningback: Bijan Robinson 60+ Rushing Yards
- Runningback: Kyren Williams 60+ Rushing Yards
- Wide Receiver: Justin Jefferson 60+ Receiving Yards
- Wide Receiver: Ja’Marr Chase 60+ Receiving Yards
