In the lead-up to the 2024 US PGA Championship, we first stop at the Wells Fargo Championship at the Par 71 Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte North Carolina.
The most notable outs are World Number 1 Scottie Scheffler, whose wife is expecting the birth of their first child and Ludvig Aberg who pulled out on Tuesday due to injury, but nonetheless a competitive field is expected in the lead-up to the Majors next week.
My full Wells Fargo Championship preview can be found below.
He might not have the best form at Wells Fargo, but Collin Morikawa is showing tremendous potential in the lead-up to the PGA Championship next week.
The 27-year-old has three top-10 finishes including a tied-third placing in the US Masters this year, which in my eyes, means he’s due for one.
With Scottie Scheffler out this weekend, I like Morikawa to be up there in the ranks for my best bet.
To Win: $21
Top 5 Finish: $5.50
Top 10 Finish: $3.25
By far one of the best value golfers in the field, Sahith Theegala has flown under the radar this season.
The 26-year-old has played 12 events this year, with two runner-ups and five top-10 finishes
At the time of writing, he’s currently sitting third on this year’s top 10 finishes with five and is also sitting third in the money list.
He might be slightly outside of Morikowa, but a top-10 finish is the play for me.
To Win: $26
Top 5 Finish: $6
Top 10 Finish: $3.50
He’s might not had a great run since starting his pro career in 2011, but South Korean Byeong Hun An is in unbelievable form this year with one runner-up and seven top 10’s.
An might be sitting fifth on this year’s Top 10 list and also on driving distance, but I fancy a top-five finish for the South Korean will be my play.
To Win: $34
Top 5 Finish: $9
Top 10 Finish: $4.50
